PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 8 II. ROLL CALL 9 PRESENT: Mayor Premuroso, Vice Mayor Jablin, Council Member Russo, Council Member 10 Tinsley, Council Member Levy. 11 ABSENT: None. 12 III. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 13 Modification to Item D, Resolution 67,2014. The applicant furnished the documents which have 14 been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney; Therefore staff is proposing to eliminate 15 condition 1. 16 Council Member Russo made a motion to approve the modification for Item D, Resolution 67, 17 2014 18 Council Member Tinsley seconded. 19 Motion passed 5-0. 20 IV. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PRESENTATIONS 21 None. 22 V. ITEMS OF RESIDENT INTEREST AND BOARD/COMMITTEE REPORTS 23 Council Member David Levv: Attended the Palm Beach County League of Cities meeting; 24 Water Resource Task Force Meeting; The FEMA mapping update and the changes in the waters 25 of the United States was discussed. 26 Council Member Marcie Tinsley:. Attended the Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center 27 groundbreaking ceremony; Riverside Youth Enrichment Center Read for the Record Bunny 28 Cakes; Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Scholarship Luncheon; Palm Beach State 29 College Community Embassador's Meeting; Announced Palm Beach State College will have 30 Veteran's Day Band at the Eissey Theatre; City Council will be participating in the women's 31 only Mayor's Golf Tournament on Friday November 7, 2014 and on Saturday, November 8, 32 2014 will be the Mayor's Golf Tournament. On November 20-22, 2014, Palm Beach Gardens 33 High School will have the annual Variety Show; Thanked City employee for their service; 34 Thanked elected officials for working together; Thanked individuals, businesses, and 35 organization for their donations, volunteers, and giving back to the community; Thanked the 36 schools and colleges that educate the public; Thanked civic and community sponsors; Wished 3 7 everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. 38 Council Member Joseph Russo: Wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving; Announced the 39 Veteran's Day Ceremony on November 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m; Attended the Police Explorers 40 Tournament; All Aboard Florida meeting at the Northern Palm Beaches Chamber of Commerce; 41 Attended the ribbon cutting for the 14th hole on the championship course at PGA National; 42 Honda Classic meeting; Encouraged residents to volunteer at the Big Heart Brigade. 43 Vice Mayor Eric Jablin: Read a statement regarding term limits. 44 Mayor Robert Premuroso: Attended the St. Mark's Episcopal School ribbon cutting; 45 Allamanda Elementary School ribbon cutting for the Dr. Ben Carson reading room; Announced 46 on November 15-16, the Art in the Gardens will be at Downtown at the Gardens; Participated in 47 the Rooney Foundation Golf Tournament at PGA National; Delivered the State of the City 48 Address to the Palm Beach Gardens Kiwanis Club; Wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. CITY MANAGER REPORT 2 Announced the Police Department received the Webber Seavy Award for Quality in Law 3 Enforcement for the Frog-et Me Not Program, congratulated Karen Cobb for receiving the 4 award; In October, the City's Fire Department personnel joined the Go Pink for the Cure 5 Campaign for breast cancer awareness; Florida League of Cities promotes a City Government 6 Week October 19-25 to raise the awareness of City Government jobs and City employees were 7 featured in a campaign of banners in Veteran's Plaza; Attended the ground breaking ceremony 8 for the Tennis Center; Announced as part of City Government week, City staff spoke with 9 students at Palm Beach Gardens High School about City services; City's Community Action 10 Support Team participated in the Paint Your Heart Out program as a part of City Government 11 Week. Announced the events for the Palm Beach Gardens Five Starts for Veterans; Children at 12 the school's out program at Burns Road Community Center will be writing letters to veterans. 13 VII. ITEMS FOR COUNCIL ACTION/DISCUSSION 24 Mayor Premuroso annoWlced the City CoWlcil received an Interlocal Agreement from the Palm 25 Beach County School District for coordinated planning. After review of the contract, the City 26 Attorney was not in agreement with some of the terms of the contract. Discussion ensued. 27 Council Member Russo made a motion for the City to send a response addressing the City's 28 concerns regarding the Agreement. 29 Council Member Tinsley seconded. 30 Motion passed 5-0. 31 Council Member Tinsley request a letter is sent to All Aboard Florida regarding the City's 32 concerns the project and request a response to the City's letter.
