Multipurpose Field Drainage

Gardens Park
Soccer Fields
•Gardens Park Soccer
Fields were closed
December 15 and
reopened on February 7
•Install sub surface
drainage pipe
•Move water off the field
•Will improve drainage and
overall drying ability
Trench dug followed by inserting
drainage pipe to run water to main
outflows.
Sock pipe installed in the trench will
collect the water and run to the
drainage pipe outflows.
On top of sock pipe a perculating sand
mix was added followed by sod.

•City’s 5 Year CIP allocated $800,000 to add 5 additional Har Tru Clay courts
•With increase of tennis courts included a second project to add additional parking for PBG Tennis and City Park
•2014 USTA National Facility Award Winner for public tennis facilities in the US
