REPORT BY KARA IRWIN. GROWTH MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATOR 32 Planning Manager Nilsa Zacarias reported City Council's unanimous approval of the 33 Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) -based Amendment at the August 21, 2008 meeting. 34 Submittal will take place during the week. Planning Manager Zacarias thanked the Planning, 35 Zoning and Appeals Board members for their input and recommendations. 36 37 V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 38 None. 39 40 The Public Information Coordinator swore in all those preparing to give testimony. 41 42 VI. RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL 43 Ex Parte Communication (Public Hearing) 44 Petition No. CPSS- 07 -08- 000001: BalleIsles West Outparcel Future Land -Use Map 45 Amendment — A request by Cotleur & Hearing, Inc., agent for E.W. Outparcels, LLC, for a 46 Small Scale Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment for one (1) parcel of real property PLANNING, ZONING AND APPEALS BOARD REGULAR MEETING Page 1 08.25.08 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 VIII. 33 34 35 IX. 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 comprised of approximately seven and 31/100 (7.31 ±) acres located at the southwest corner of the intersection of PGA Blvd. and Ballenlsles Drive in order to change the land use designation from Residential Low (RL) to Professional/Office (PO). • Ex parte communication was declared by Chair Craig Kunkle, Vice Chair Douglas Pennell, Randolph Hansen, Michael Panczak, Dennis Solomon, Barry Present, Amir Kanel and Donald Krzan. • Chair Kunkle stated he received letters regarding the subject petition from Ballenlsles residents Joe Love, David F. Paulson, M.D., and Barry Weiss. • John Tiffany, E.W. Outparcels, LLC, applicant stated his planner was not present and requested a postponement until the October 28, 2008 meeting. • Chair Kunkle agreed to the postponement and stated staffs presentation would be postponed until the October 28, 2008 meeting as well. • Chair Kunkle opened the public hearing. • Anne Booth, representing the Ballen1sles Community Association, stated their board does not object to the postponement and requested that she be notified of any other changes. MOTION Randolph Hansen made a motion to postpone CPSS- 07 -08- 000001: Ballenlsles West Outparcel Future Land -Use Map Amendment to the October 28, 2008 meeting. Douglas Pennell seconded. Motion was approved unanimously, 7 -0.
