CALL TO ORDER 8 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 9 III. OATH OF OFFICE TO NEW MEMBERS -Deputy City Clerk administered the Oath of I 0 Office to Regular Members Karen Blum, Ilene Gerber, Robert Koo and Charles Millar. 11 IV. ROLL CALL 12 PRESENT: Chair Vincent Cassanetti, Vice Chair Kate Weingart, Marci Bulitt, Karen Blum, 13 Robert Koo, Ilene Gerber, Charles Millar 14 ABSENT: None. 15 ALSO PRESENT: Council Member, Council Liaison, Eric Jablin; Principal Planner, Staff I6 Liaison, Dawn Sonneborn. I7 V. ORIENTATION SESSION I8 City Attorney, Max Lohman provided a presentation for new board and committee members. 19 VI. BOARD APPOINTMENTS 20 A. Appointment of Chair 21 Board Member Bulitt nominated Vincent Casanetti for Chair. 22 Vice Chair Weingart seconded. 23 Nomination passed 7-0. 24 B. Appointment of Vice Chair 25 Board Member Bullitt nominated Kate Weingart for Vice Chair. 26 Board Member Millar seconded. 27 Nomination passed 7-0. 28 VII. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 29 None. 30 VIII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 31 Board Member Millar made a motion to approve the March I8, 2014 Minutes. 32 Board Member Koo seconded. 33 Motion passed 7-0. 34 IX. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIASON 35 Vice Mayor, Council Liaison Jablin: Welcome all the new board members and expressed his 36 appreciation to the members for their service on the board; Introduced City Manager Ron Ferris; 37 Introduced AIPP Staff Liaison Dawn Sonneborn; Announced there are new projects coming in 38 the City and many of the art projects will be coming before the board for review and approval; 39 Defmed what art is considered per the City Ordinance; Requested Art Impact Funds to be 40 utilized to build a memorial park for parents who have lost their children. Spoke with the City 4I Attorney and City Manager to revise the Art ordinance to include funding for cultural events; 42 Looking forward to working with the Board on future art projects. 43 X. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON 44 Principal Planner, Staff Liaison Dawn Sonneborn 45 A. Immediate Projects 46 Reported there is $698,537.00 in the Art Impact Fund, discussion ensued; Provided an update on 47 the Artistic Bus Shelters; Public Relations Manager Candice Temple, provided a Paint by 48 Numbers Art Presentation, discussion ensued. Future Projects: 2 Recreation Director, Staff Liaison Laura Schuppert provided a history on the Gardens Art 3 Program and gave a presentation on the Art Hanging Systems for the City Hall Lobby.
