CALL TO ORDER 8 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 9 III. ROLL CALL 10 PRESENT: Chair Tory Buckley, Maryanne Hedrick, Maria Marino, Christopher Dinolfo, 11 Joseph Mullings, Bruce Bonvento (arrived late). 12 ABSENT: Carol Dutra-Ellis 13 ALSO PRESENT: 14 Council Liaison, Council Member Marcie Tinsley; Recreation Director, Staff Liaison Laura 15 Schuppert. 16 IV. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 17 None. 18 V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 19 Board Member Hedrick made a motion to approve the May 22, 2015 joint meeting with the 20 PBGY AA minutes. 21 Board Member Mullings seconded. 22 Motion passed 5-0. 23 Board Member Marino made a motion to approve the May 22, 2015 regular meeting Minutes. 24 Board Member Dinolfo seconded. 25 Motion passed 5-0. 26 VI. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIASON 27 Council Liaison, Council Member Marcie Tinsley 28 Announced FY 2016 budget was passed by City Council which included $200,000 for Plant 29 Drive and Lilac Street improvements, $2,300,000 for the Golf Clubhouse Expansion; $600,000 30 City Park Expansion and $200,000 for future improvements on Plant Drive; Reported that the 31 mileage was lowered to 5.6871 mills; Announced 78 petitions were signed by Tennis Center 32 patrons in support of improvements on Shady Lakes Drive. 33 VII. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON 34 Recreation Director, Staff Liaison Laura Schuppert 35 None. 36 VIII. OLD BUSINESS 37 a. City Park Tennis Center Parking Improvements 38 Recreation Director Laura Schuppert provided a brief presentation on the Tennis Center 39 Parking Improvements. Discussion ensued. 40 b. Mirasol Playground/Fitness Project 41 Recreation Director Laura Schuppert provided a status and presented a video on the Mirasol 42 Playground/Fitness Project. Discussion ensued. 43 c. Pickleball Courts-Grand Opening Date 44 Recreation Director Laura Schuppert announced the ribbon cutting for the Grand Opening for 45 the Pickleball Courts is November 14,2015. Discussion ensued. 46 d. School Use Report 4 7 Operations Manager Daniel Prieto provided a brief presentation on the Palm Beach County 48 School District use of City facilities for sporting events. Capital Budget 3 Operations Manager Matt Eggerman provided a brief presentation on the Capital Budget 4 items for Parks and Grounds. Discussion ensued. 5 b. Park Inventory 6 Recreation Director Laura Schuppert provided a presentation on Park Matrix per state 7 guidelines. Discussion ensued. 8 c. Request for Letters of Interest for Development of Hilltop Property 9 Recreation Director Laura Schuppert informed the board in the future the City will be 10 requesting Letters of Interest to develop the Hilltop Property. Discussion ensued. 11 X. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC 12 Tim Finan, 35 Glencairn Road, Palm Beach Gardens; Michael Gansen, 126 Coventry Place, 13 Palm Beach Gardens; Steve Brodsky, 1409 Barlow Court, Palm Beach Gardens. 14 X. COMMENTS BY THE BOARD 15 Board Member Hedrick announced the Barry Grunow Scholarship event will be held at PGA 16 National on October 10, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Discussion ensued. Board Member Marino 17 requested Projects Director Charlotte Pres en sky announced the dates of the Mayor's Veterans 18 Golf Classic for the board is November 6-8, 2015 at the Sandhill Crane Golf Course. Board 19 Member Marino informed the board that she went on a tour of all the City parks, and suggested 20 board takes the tour. 21 XI.
