6 The regular meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Mayor Tinsley.

9 PRESENT: Mayor Tinsley, Vice Mayor Jablin, Councilmember Premuroso, Councilmember
10 Marino, Councilmember Woods.
11 ABSENT: None.
12 III. ELECTION:
13 The City Clerk read Resolution 27, 2017 by title.
14 a. RESOLUTION 27, 2017 -DECLARING RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION. A
15 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS,
16 FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON
17 MARCH 14, 2017, AND THE RUN-OFF ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 28, 2017;
18 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
19 Vice Mayor Jablin made a motion to approve to Resolution 27, 2017.
20 Councilmember Premuroso seconded.
21 Motion passed 5-0
22 b. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE.
23 City Clerk, Patricia Snider, administered the Oath of Office to Councilmembers Elect Mark
24 Marciano, Matthew Lane and Rachelle Litt.
25 Former Mayor Tinsley, Former Vice Mayor Jablin and former Councilmember Premuroso
26 stepped down from the dais and Councilmembers Marciano, Lane, and Litt took their place on
27 the dais. City Manager presented each former Councilmember a crystal gavel is appreciation of
28 their service to the City.
29 IV. REORGANIZATION
30 1. APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR.
31 Councilmember Lane made a motion to appoint Maria Marino for Mayor and moved to close
32 nominations.
33 Councilmember Marciano seconded.
34 Motion passed 5-0.
35 2. APPOINTMENT OF VICE MAYOR
36 Councilmember Lane made a motion to appoint Mark Marciano for Vice Mayor and moved
37 to close nominations.
38 Councilmember Litt seconded.
39 Motion passed 5-0.
40 The City Clerk read Resolution 28, 2017 by title.
41 3. RESOLUTION 28, 2017 -APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR. A
42 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS,
43 FLORIDA, APPOINTING THE MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR FOR THE CITY;

14 THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN; FURTHER AMENDING CHAPTER 78. AT

29 XII. ITEMS FOR COUNCIL ACTION/DISCUSSION
30 Vice Mayor Marciano expressed that he is honored to be a Councilmember and commented
31 that staff did a great job at the City Council Orientation and he is excited to work with staff.
32 Councilmember Lane thanked his family, friends, former Councilmembers, and business
33 community for their support on his campaign; Councilmember Litt, thanked the outgoing
34 Councilmember for their service to the community; Thanked her family, friends, volunteers,
35 campaign manager for their support during her campaign and thanked the residents for their
36 trust. Mayor Marino thanked staff for the City Council Orientation; Vice Mayor Marciano
37 expressed his desire to have open conversation with the residents by visiting different
38 communities within the City.
