6 The regular meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Mayor Marino.

37 Mayor Maria Marino: Attended the Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting; Treasure
38 Coast Regional Planning Meeting; Stroke Awareness Seminar and thanked Fire Rescue and
39 physicians from Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital for their
40 participation in the event; Gardens Cup Golf Tournament; Road Impact Fee Workshop and
41 thanked Planning and Zoning Director Natalie Crowley and Operations Manager Michael
42 Morrow for attending the event with her; Congratulated Ken Kennerly, Executive Director of
43 The Honda Classic for receiving the Gaeta Chairman 's Award of Excellence at the P a lm Beach

2 Announced the Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue Department received the American Heart
3 Association's Mission Lifeline EMS Gold Plus Award for the 3rd consecutive year. Falm Beach
4 Gardens is the first agency in Palm Beach County to receive this award; The Finance
5 Department received the Distinguished Budget Presentation A ward for the current budget from
6 the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the 20th consecutive year. The City
7 received an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) matching grant award of $30,000 to purchase
8 on-site training for 112 sworn police officers in Tactical Combat Casualty Care. Provided
9 "Before and After" pictures of Code Compliance cases throughout the City. Thanked Code
10 Compliance staff for their diligence. Announced the Weather the Storm Readiness Event will be
11 held on Thursday, June 8th from 6pm-8pm at Veterans Plaza.
