1. Recommendation to City Council (Public Hearing) CPTA-17-08-000031 - City
initiated Comprehensive Plan Text Update to the 5-Year Capital Improvements Plan
A City-initiated request to update the Capital Improvements Element (CIE) of the City’s
Comprehensive Plan to update the 5-Year Schedule of Capital Improvements (Table 9A) and
Summary of Capital Improvements Program for Palm Beach County School Board (Table
9B), in accordance with Section 163.3177(3)(a)5.(b), Florida Statutes.

Request
A City-initiated request to update the Capital Improvements Element (CIE) of the
Comprehensive Plan to:
•Update the 5-Year Schedule of Capital Improvements (Table 9A), and
•Update the Summary of Capital Improvements Program for Palm Beach County
School Board (Table 9B)
Florida Statutes
Chapter 163.3177
Requires the CIE to contain a 5-Year Schedule of Capital Improvements that includes
any publicly funded projects necessary to ensure that the adopted Level of Service
standards are achieved and maintained for the 5-year period.
•Table 9A reflects the City’s budget adopted on 9/25/17 (Ord. 19, 2017)
•Table 9B reflects the PBC School Board budget adopted on 9/6/17
