17 Mayor Marino read the "A Day to Remember Proclamation" in honor of the Marjory Stoneman
18 Douglas High School shooting victims.

20 Councilmember Rachelle Litt: Attended the Gala Event at Chabad Palm Beach Gardens;
21 Forum Club Luncheon; Toured St. Mark's Episcopal School; Attended the Scripps Lunch and
22 Learn; Attended the Sandhill Crane Golf Clubhouse Grand Opening Weekend Events ; Artigras;
23 The Honda Classic; Melanoma Foundation Luncheon; Expressed her frustration regarding a gun
24 show that was held in the City two days after the shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas
25 High School and the state attack on home rule which limits a municipality ability to regulate
26 certain types of businesses within their jurisdiction. Encourage residents to get active in the
27 community, write to their legislators, and elect those who support home rule.
28 Councilmember Matthew Lane: Attended a meeting at City Hall regarding the proposed
29 marina on PGA Boulevard; Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs
30 Meeting; Honda Classic Kick Off Party; Miami Heat Game with his son; Grand Opening of the
31 Sandhill Crane Golf Clubhouse; Frenchman's Creek External Affairs Luncheon; A rt in Public
32 Places Committee Meeting; North County Neighborhood Coalition; Artigras; Provided
33 comments on the effect of the proposed construction Beeline Highway;
34 Councilmember Lane made a motion for the City to hold a public workshop for the Florida
35 Department of Transportation (FOOT) Beeline Highway proposed construction on April 5, 2018
36 and add the item for discussion on the C ity Council regular meeting agenda.
37 Mayor Marino informed Councilmember Lane that a letter was sent on behalf of the City
38 Council to FOOT requesting a workshop regarding the Beeline Highway. FOOT informed
39 the City the project information would not be available until mid April.
40 Councilmember Matthew Lane amended his motion to change the date of the workshop to
41 May 5 , 2018 at 6 :00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers and authorize the City Manager to send
42 a letter inviting the residents of Steeplechase and the representatives from the Florida
43 Department of Transportation.
44 Councilmember Carl Woods seconded.
45 Motion passed 5-0.
46 Councilmember Carl Woods: Deferred his time to Mayor Marino.
