6 The regular meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair Bonvento.

10 PRESENT: Chair Bruce Bonvento, Vice Chair Valerie Fennon, Maryanne Hedrick, Kelly
11 Rogers, Shelly Roe (arrive at 6:19 p.m.), Carol Dutra Ellis (arrived at 6:03 p.m.) Andrew Heim
12 (sitting in for George Wicker).

19 V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES from the January 22, 2018 meeting.
20 Board Member Hedrick made a motion to approve the January 22, 2018 Minutes.
21 Vice Chair Fennon seconded.
22 Motion passed 6-0.
23 VI. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON
24 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Staff Liaison Daniel Prieto
25 A. Spring/Summer Events
26 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto gave a presentation for the upcoming
27 Recreation Department Spring and Summer events. Discussion ensued.
28 VII. OLD BUSINESS
29 A. Sandhill Crane Golf Club Update
30 Leisure Services Administrator Charlotte Presensky announced the Sandhill Crane Golf
31 Course clubhouse has opened. Discussion ensued.
32 B. Gardens Tennis Clubhouse
33 Tennis Director Laura Schuppert provided a brief update and presentation on the Gardens
34 Tennis Clubhouse. Discussion ensued.
35 C. Gardens County North District Park
36 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto provided a brief update on the status of
37 construction the District Park from Palm Beach County. Discussion ensued.
38 D. Pickleball Athletics Club
39 Eric Ah-Y eun and Deputy Leisure Services Administrator provided an update and video on
40 pickleball in Palm Beach Gardens.
41 VIII. NEW BUSINESS
42 A. Store Green Market
43 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto announced the Greenmarket is moving
44 to Store Self Storage May 13, 2018.
45 B. Aquatics Complex Season Opening
46 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto announced the SplashZone at the
47 Aquatics Center reopened on March 17, 2018.

2 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto announced the 2018 Summer Camp
3 Season begins June 4, 2018. Discussion ensued.
4 D. Burns Road Recreation Center Re-Roof
5 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto informed the board members that
6 construction for the reroof of the Burns Road Community Center begins on Monday, April 23,
7 2018.
8 IX. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC
9 Council Member Matthew Lane, 3801 PGA Blvd #600, Palm Beach Gardens.

12 XI. SET QUARTERLY MEETING DATE

Vice Chair Fennon made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Board Member Hedrick seconded.
Motion passed 6-0.
Chair Bonvento adjourned the meeting at 6:41 p.m.
The next meeting will be held August 20, 2018.
