6 The regular meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Chair Bonvento .

10 PRESENT: Chair Bruce Bonvento, Vice Chair Valerie Fennon, Maryanne Hedrick, Kelly
11 Rogers, Carol Dutra Ellis (arrived at 6:20 p .m .) Andrew Heim (sitting in for George Wicker).
12 ABSENT: George Wicker, Shelly Roe.
13 ALSO PRESENT:
14 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Staff Liaison Daniel Prieto; Alternate Staff Liaison Tennis
15 Director, Laura Schuppert, Leisure Services Administrator, Charlotte Presensky
16 ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS
17 Per Council Member Matthew Lane request, Staff Liaison Daniel Prieto, requested that the
18 agenda be modified to move Item I. Comments by the Public before Item E. Approval of
19 Minutes.
20 Vice Chair Fennon made a motion to modify the agenda per Council Member Lane request.
21 Board Member Hedrick seconded.
22 Motion passed 5-0.
23 IX. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC

25 IV.APPROVAL OF MINUTES from the April 16, 2018 meeting.
26 Vice Chair Fennon made a motion to approve the April 16, 2018 Minutes.
27 Board Member Hedrick seconded.
28 Motion passed 5-0.
29 V. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON
30 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Staff Liaison Daniel Prieto
31 A. Fall Events and Tournaments
32 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto gave a presentation for the upcoming
33 Recreation Department Fall Events and Tournaments. Discussion ensued.
34 B. Summer Season Review
35 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto provided statistics on the Summer
36 events and camp programs. Discussion ensued.
37 VI. OLD BUSINESS
38 A. Gardens Tennis Clubhouse Update
39 Tennis Director Laura Schuppert provided a brief update and presentation on the Gardens
40 Tennis Clubhouse. Discussion ensued.
41 B. Gardens County North District Park
42 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto provided a brief update on the status of
43 The Gardens North County District Park. Discussion ensued.
44 VII. NEW BUSINESS
45 A. Baseball Complex Renovation and Expansion
46 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator Daniel Prieto provided a brief update and
47 presentation on the status of Baseball Complex Renovation and Expansion. Discussion ensued.

The board unanimously selected October 15, 2018.
XII. ADJOURNMENT
Board Member Hedrick made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Board Member Ellis seconded.
Motion passed 6-0.
Chair Bonvento adjourned the meeting at 6:53 p.m.
The next meeting will be held October 15, 2018.
