HomeMy WebLinkAboutDRC - 071107 - Food and Beverage Golf Course Concession ServicesAttendance: RFP # 2007-006 Food and Beverage Golf Course Concession Services July 11, 2007 2:00p.m. Dino DeRostaing, Purchasing Agent Billy Miller, Golf Course Superintendent Dan Reidy, Golf Operations Director Peter Torocsik, Ultimate Catering Jennifer Kelter, PCI Valerie Nichols, PCI This non-mandatory pre-submittal conference took place at the Palm Beach Gardens Golf Course. The terms of the RFP were reviewed with the above-mentioned applicants by Dino DeRoasting. It was explained that the submittals will be judged by criteria as well as pricing. This contract will begin in October 2007 or sooner. The bid openings will take place on July 23, 2007, at 2:00 p.m in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The applicants were then given the chance to ask questions. Peter Torocsik, Ultimate Catering, posed the following questions: 1. Was a subcontractor allowed to work in place of the original contractor? Dino ReRostaing stated that tmder no circumstances was this allowed due to the liability issues. The City wants to deal directly with the contractor. 2. Is the contractor allowed to serve liquor? Yes. But the contractor must have their own license. They will not permitted to use the City's license. PCI Catering posed the following questions: 1. Is an outdoor grill permitted? Dan Reidy stated that there are grilling facilities located on the premises. 2. Would a cooler be allowed? Dan Reidy stated that there are facilities for this located on the premises. Any other questions posed were referred back to the application packet which was distributed to the applicants prior to the meeting.
