PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 8 H. ROLL CALL 9 PRESENT: Chair Donna Wisneski, Vice Chair Terence Brady, Frances Heaslip, Mark 10 Lenow, Rosie Carr (1" Alternate for David Anderson) 11 ABSENT: David Anderson 12 Also PRESENT: Council Member, Council Liaison Jody Barnett; Community Services 13 Operations Manager, Staff Liaison Angela Wong; Grounds Superintendent, Alternate 14 Staff Liaison Cynthia Unger; City Forester Mark Hendrickson 15 Chair Wisneski invited Rosie Carr to join the Board on the dais. 16 III. ADDITIONS. DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 17 None. 18 IV. MINUTES FOR APPROVAL 19 Vice Chair Brady made a motion for approval of the November 5, 2008 minutes. 20 Mark Lenow seconded. 21 Motion passed 5 -0. 22 Vice Chair Brady made a motion for approval of the December 3, 2008 minutes. 23 Frances HeasKip seconded. 24 Motion passed 5 -0. 25 V. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIAISON 26 Councilmember Jody Barnett stated that action minutes will be used in the future and 27 suggested that Board members follow the progress of Parcel 5A. 28 VI. ITEMS BY STAFF LIASION 29 None 30 VII. OLD BUSINESS 31 A. City Beautification Award Selection — Category: Institution. 32 Frances HeasHU made a motion for the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. 33 Mark Lenow seconded. 34 Motion passed, 5 -0. 35 Staff Liaison Angela Won will have the award prepared. 36 B. Public Roadway Beautification Projects 37 Chair Wisneski suggested one day annually for special clean -up event or establishing 38 Adapt -A- Street program. 39 Staff Liaison Wong stated that Gardens Parkway and Alternate A 1 A along the FEC 40 railroad tracks have a large amount of litter. 41 Vice Chair Brady notify the surrounding neighbors for participation. 42 Mark Lenow suggested a public service announcement for the clean -up effort. 43 Council Liaison Barnett suggested contacting the Citizens on Patrol. 44 Chain- Wisneski suggested Board members consider the options for further discussion. 45 City Forester Mark Hendrickson stated City Code does address additional points for 46 low maintenance landscape elements.. 47 Staff Liaison Wong suggested sending CAB members links about LEED certification. 48 Council Liaison Barnett suggested a 15- minute presentation on LEED certification. VIII. NEW BUSINESS None. IX. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC None. X. ADJOURNMENT Frances Heaslip made a motion to adjourn. Mark Lenow seconded. Motion passed, 5 -0.
