6 The regular meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair Bonvento.
7 I. CALL TO ORDER
8 H. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
9 III. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE
10 Assistant to the City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to 1st Alternate Matthew Zudans and
11 2"d Alternate Dane Leitner.
12 IV. ROLL CALL
13 PRESENT: Chair Bruce Bonvento, Vice Chair Valerie Fennon, Mary Anne Hedrick, Carol
14 Dutra-Ellis, (arrived at 6:12 pm) Shelly Roe, Andrew Heim, Matthew Zudans (sitting in for
15 Kelly Rogers).
16 ABSENT: Kelly Rogers.

18 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Staff Liaison Daniel Prieto, Alternate Staff Liaison Cory
19 Wilder.

23 Appointment of Chair
24 Vice Chair Fennon nominated Bruce Bonvento for Chair.
25 Board Member Hedrick seconded.
26 Nomination for passed 7-0.
27 VII. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIR
28 Appointment of Vice Chair
29 Chair Bonvento nominated Valerie Fennon for Vice Chair.
30 Board Member Hedrick seconded.
31 Nomination passed 7-0.
32 VIII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES from the August 20, 2018 meeting.
33 Vice Chair Fennon made a motion to approve the August 20, 2018 minutes.
34 Board Member Roe seconded.
35 Motion passed 7-0.
36 IX. BOARD ORIENTATION
37 Orientation for Board Members was conducted by Assistant City Attorney Abigail Jorandby.
38 X. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON
39 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Staff Liaison Daniel Prieto
40 A. Introduction of Cory Wilder, Parks and Grounds Director
41 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto introduced Alternate Staff Liaison, Park
42 and Grounds Director Cory Wilder to the Board Members.
43 B. Fall/Winter Events
44 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto gave a presentation for the upcoming
45 Recreation Department Fall and Winter events. Discussion ensued.

I Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto provided an update on the Capital
2 Improvement Projects. Discussion ensued.

4 A. The Gardens North County District Park Advisory Committee Meeting Update
5 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto provided an update on the meeting with
6 the Advisory Committee. Discussion ensued.
7 B. The Gardens North County District Park RFP Status
8 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto provided a status on the Request for
9 Proposal for the Gardens North County District Park. Discussion ensued.
10 XIII. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC

12 XIV. COMMENTS BY THE BOARD
13 Vice Chair Fennon discussed her comments at the August 20th meeting regarding tennis courts.
14 XV. SET QUARTERLY MEETING DATE
15 The board unanimously selected January 28, 2019.

Vice Chair Fennon made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Board Member Hedrick seconded.
Motion passed 7-0.
Chair Bonvento adjourned the meeting at 6:47 p.m.
