21 Vice Mayor Rachelle Litt: Thank you to the City staff for the amazing job on the Palm Beach
22 Gardens 60 th Birthday Celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Gardens North County
23 District Park on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Thank you to Twisted Trunk for our special Summer
24 Crush brew that premiered. On July 10, 2019, welcomed the residents and staff of La Posada to
25 Fire Station 65 where they presented our firefighters with teddy bears in honor of the Firefighters'
26 Teddy Bear Cares Program and Teddy Bear Picnic Day. Thank you to the residents for buying
27 the bears to give to young children as a small token of love during traumatic events.
28 Councilmember Matthew Lane: attended the going away party for Beth Kiegel at the Riviera
29 Beach Marina, Government Affairs Committee with Dave Markarian, Business Development
30 Board (BDB) Luncheon with speaker Ben Carson, NCNC meeting with speaker Wendy Sartory
31 Link, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections and the Gardens North District Park grand
32 opening event and 60 th Celebration of the City.
33 Mayor Mark Marciano: attended the Chamber of Commerce Economic Forum State of the
34 Chamber, Palm Beach North Economic Development, Palm Beach Gardens District Park, Alton
35 Town Plaza grand openings of Starbucks and Bolay.

38 VII. CITY MANAGER REPORT:
39 Purchasing Department has earned a re-accreditation from the National Institute of Government
40 Procurement as an outstanding agency. The award recognizes the excellence in public
41 procurement. Km! Ra, Purchasing and Contracts Director was presented with an achievement
42 award certificate and award.
43 On June 20, 2019, ChamberofCommerce.org ranked the City of Palm Beach Gardens as the top
44 number one city to live in within the entire state of Florida.
45 In May 2019, the South Florida Law Enforcement agencies including Palm Beach Gardens,
46 participated in a countywide emergency training program called Operation Heat Shield III. Clint
4 7 Shannon , Chief of Police, presented a report detailing emergency response efforts and presented
48 the Palm Beach Gardens SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team members , Major Martin
