PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 8 Il. ROLL CALL 9 PRESENT: Chair Donna Wisneski, Vice Chair Terence Brady, David Anderson, Frances 10 Heaslip, Mark Lenow. 11 ABSENT: None 12 ALSO PRESENT: Vice Mayor, Council Liaison David Levy; Community Services 13 Operations Manager, Staff Liaison Angela Wong; Grounds Superintendent, Alternate 14 Staff Liaison Cynthia Unger. 15 III. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 16 ADDITION 17 New Business: Letter announcing the Palm Beach Gardens Citizen Police Academy (CPA) 18 to begin September 23, 2009. 19 Frances Heaslip made a motion for the addition to the agenda. 20 Mark Lenow seconded. 21 Motion passed 5 -0. 22 IV. MINUTES FOR APPROVAL 23 Terence Brady made a motion for approval of the May 6, 2009 minutes. 24 Mark Lenow seconded. 25 Motion passed 5 -0. 26 V. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIAISON 27 Council Liaison Lew commended and thanked the Board and City employees for 28 upholding the beautification standards of the City. 29 VI. ITEMS BY STAFF LIASION 30 Staff Liaison W_ ong reported the July 1, 2009 CAB meeting is during a holiday week. 31 Terence Brady made a motion to cancel the July 1, 2009 meeting. 32 Frances Heaslip seconded. 33 Motion passed 5 -0. 34 VII. OLD BUSINESS 35 A. Adopt -A -Street Program 36 Staff Liaison Wong reported the program met with staff approval. Public Works 37 Superintendent Prince Alexander is drawing up documents with the City Attorney to 38 determine guidelines and implementation. 39 VIII. NEW BUSINESS 40 Nominees for consideration in the Beautification Award commercial category include: the 41 Catalf nno building, PGA Commons — Central and East, Donald Ross Village and Self 42 Storage. 43 David Anderson made a motion nominating PGA Commons — Central and East as one 44 submittal. 45 The motion failed due to lack of a second. 46 Mark Lenow made a motion nominating the Catalfumo building. 47 Vice Chair Brady seconded the motion. David Anderson made a motion nominating PGA Commons — Central. The motion failed due to lack of a second. Vice Chair Brady, made a motion nominating Donald Ross Village. Mark Lenow seconded. Motion passed, 5 -0. The Beautification Award will be presented at the July 16, 2009 City Council meeting. IX. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC None. X. COMMENTS BY THE BOARD Chair Wisneski reported the upcoming Citizen Police Academy.
