6 The regular meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Vice Chair Fennon.
7 I. CALL TO ORDER
8 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
9 III. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE
10 The Municipal Services Specialist administered the Oath of Office to Kendra Haywood,
11 Nicholas Russo and Jason Moraes.
12 IV. ROLL CALL
13 PRESENT: Vice Chair Valerie Fennon, Kendra Haywood, Andrew Heim, Dane Leitner, Kelly
14 Rogers, Matthew Zudans, and Nicholas Russo (sitting in for Gregory Chetta).
15 ABSENT: Gregory Chetta.

17 City Attorney, R. Max Lohman; Staff Liaison, Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel
18 Prieto, Director of Public Services, Cory Wilder, Operations Manager, Tim Ford, Operations

20 V. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS
21 Vice Chair Valerie Fennon recognized the long term service of recently deceased former
22 member Maryanne Hedrick.
23 VI. ELECTION OF CHAIR
24 Board Member Kelly Rogers made a motion to appoint Valerie Fennon as Chair.
25 Board Member Nicholas Russo seconded.
26 Motion passed 7-0.
27 VII. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIR
28 Board Member Valerie Fennon made a motion to appoint Kelly Rogers as Vice Chair.
29 Board Member Nicholas Russo seconded.
30 Motion passed 7-0.
31 VIII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES from the April 15, 2019 meeting.
32 Board Member Kelly Rogers made a motion to approve the April 15, 2019 minutes.
33 Board Member Valerie Fennon seconded.
34 Motion passed 7-0.
35 IX. BOARD ORIENTATION
36 City Attorney, R. Max Lohman conducted the annual board member orientation.
37 X. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISONS
38 Staff Liaisons, Operations Manager Leisure Services, Monett Preston, Operations Manager,
39 Tim Ford and Deputv Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto
40 A. Fall/Winter Events
41 Operations Manager Leisure Services, Monett Preston gave a presentation for the upcoming
42 Recreation Department Fall and Winter Events.
43 B. Economic Impact of Sport in 2018-2019
44 Operations Manager, Tim Ford gave a presentation on the Economic Impact of Sport Tourism in
45 Palm Beach Gardens. Discussion ensued.

1 C. Palm Beach Gardens Tennis and Pickleball Center Awards
2 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto recognized Wendy Tatum, Tennis Center
3 Operations Manager for receiving awards for Facility Manager of the Year, Florida Division and
4 Manager of the Year -Large Facility, National.
5 XI. OLD BUSINESS
6 A. Ongoing Capital Improvement Proiect - Update
7 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto provided an update on the Ongoing
8 Capital Improvement Projects Gardens District Park, Palm Beach Gardens Tennis and Pickleball
9 Center, and Gardens Park Baseball Expansion and presented a video of the 60ffi Anniversary
10 Celebration at Gardens District Park. Discussion ensued.
11 XII. NEW BUSINESS
12 A. New Capital Improvement Proiect
13 Director of Public Services, Cory Wilder discussed the New Park Projects. Discussion ensued.
14 Deputy Leisure Services Administrator, Daniel Prieto gave a presentation on the Main Pool
15 Replacement at Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex.
16 Discussion ensued.
17 XIII. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC

21 XV. SET QUARTERLY MEETING DATE
22 The board unanimously selected January 27, 2020 as the next quarterly meeting date.
23 XII. ADJOURNMENT
24 Chair Valerie Fennon requested a motion to adjourn the meeting.
25 Board Member Kelly Rogers made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
26 Board Member Dane Leitner seconded.
27 Motion passed 7-0.
28 Chair Valerie Fennon adjourned the meeting at 7:24 p.m.
