CALL TO ORDER 8 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 9 III. ROLL CALL 10 PRESENT: Chair Tory Buckley, Vice Chair Tim Frohling, Carolyn Chaplik, Mary Anne Hedrick, 11 Arnie Schneider, William Sonnenreich, Ernest Volonte. 12 ABSENT: None. 13 ALSO PRESENT: Council Liaison Jody Barnett; Recreation Superintendent, Alternate Staff Liaison, 14 Tim Kasher. 15 IV. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS 16 None. 17 V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 18 Ernest Volonte made a motion to approve the April 20, 2009 minutes. 19 William Sonneureich seconded. 20 Motion passed 7 -0. 21 VI. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIAISON 22 Council Liaison Barnett attended the NCAA Softball Tournament at Lake Catherine; stated the budget 23 cycle is coming up, the RAB membership will be kept informed and inquired about the status of the 24 playground at Oaks Park. 25 VII. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON 26 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher reported on the annual dance recital, Memorial Day, youth flag football, 27 Riverside Youth Enrichment Center graduation, Daddy Daughter Date Night, summer camp and the pool. 28 Chair Buckley inquired about the status of the old pool. Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher explained the 29 work that was completed and stated he will bring pictures to the next meeting. The Board stated its 30 support for the purchase of the District Park. Board members plan to attend the Founder's Day events. 31 Board consensus was to cancel the June 15, 2009 and July 20, 2009 meetings. 32 VIII. OLD BUSINESS 33 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher reported on the upcoming June 19, 2009 and June 20, 2009 Founder's 34 Day events. The U.S. Marine Corps Band is unable to perform at the July 4, 2009 concert at the Eissey 35 Theater. J.B. Scott's Swinging All Stars will perform in their place. The U.S. Navy Band will appear for 36 Veteran's Day in November. The November 21, 2009 event will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and 37 Burns Road will be closed. 38 The Allamanda Gopher Preserve is on the City Council's May 21, 2009 agenda for consideration for 39 signage and access. 40 IX. NEW BUSINESS 41 None. 42 X. STAFF UPDATES 43 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher reported on golf rates and gave the parks update. Chair Buckley 44 inquired about a golf course representative attending the RAB meetings. 45 M. COMMENTS BY PUBLIC 46 None. 47 XII. William Sonnenreieh seconded. Motion passed 7 -0. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m. The next meeting will be held Monday, August 17, 2009.
