24 CUMJ- 08-09 -000015 Temple Beth David — Major Conditional Use with Site Plan
25 Larry Winker, agent for Northern Palm Beach County Jewish Community Center, Inc., is requesting
26 approval of an amendment to the Conditional Use (CU) for Temple Beth David, located on the
27 north side of Hood Road, approximately 600 feet west of Military Trail. The proposed amendment
28 would allow the expansion of an approved one (1) story structure to include a 1,800 square feet
29 second floor, and the addition of 17 parking spaces. The second floor addition would house a
30 youth lounge, one (1) office space, and storage facilities.
31 Ex parte communication with staff' only was declared by: Barry Present.
32 Barry Present recused himself from this portion of the meeting and left the dais. Second Alternate
33 Joanne Koerner was seated in his place.
34 The following individuals commented on this agenda item: Architect Larry Winkler, Growth
35 Management Administrator Kara Irwin Planning Manager Natalie Wong.
36 Chair Kunkle opened the public hearing.
37 Chair Kunkle closed the public hearing.
38 Discussion ensued.
39 Amir Kanel made a motion for recommendation to the City Council for approval of petition
40 CUMJ -08 -09- 000015.
41 Michael Panczak seconded.
42 Motion passed 7 -0.
43 Second Alternate Joanne Koerner left the dais and Barry Present returned.

PUDA-09-06- 000021: Palm Beach Community Church — A request to modify the approved
development order for the Borland Center
Alessandria Kaflin of Cotleur & Hearing, Inc., agent for Palm Beach Community Church, Inc., is
requesting approval for modification of the approved development order for the Borland Center to
delete condition #41 regarding payment of $250,000 to the City upon conveyance of the off -site
mitigation site to another entity.
Ex parte communication was declared by: Barry Present, Amir Kanel, Randolph Hansen,
Michael Panczak, Don Kazan.

Barry Pressent made a motion for recommendation to the City Council of denial of petition
PUDA- 09 -06- 000021.
Don Krzan seconded.
The motion passed 5 -2 with Michael Panczak and Randolph Hansen dissenting.
