6 The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m, by Chair Tory Buckley.
7 I. CALL TO ORDER

10 PRESENT: Chair Tory Buckley, Vice Chair Tim Frohling, Carolyn Chaplik, Mary Anne Hedrick,
11 Arnie Schneider, William Sonnenreich, Ernest Volonte.
12 ABSENT: None.
13 ALSO PRESENT: Councilmember, Council Liaison Jody Barnett, Recreation Superintendent,
14 Alternate Staff Liaison, Tim Kasher.
15 IV. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS
16 None.
17 V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
18 Carolyn Chaalik made a motion to approve the May 18, 2009 minutes.
19 Ernest Volonte seconded.
20 Motion passed 7 -0.
21 VI. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIAISON
22 Councilmember Barnett reported on the Lake Catherine history project.
23 VII. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON
24 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher discussed the upcoming meeting schedule for October, November, and
25 December 2009. Ordinance 5, 2009 was discussed. Counciilmember Barnett offered to present the
26 opinions of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to the City Council.
27 William Sonneuriech made a motion requesting the City Council review Ordinance 5, 2009.
28 Ernest Volonte seconded.
29 Motion passed, 7 -0.
30 Lake Catherine Park planning was discussed.
31 VIII. OLD BUSINESS
32 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher reported on the upcoming November 21, 2009 50th Anniversary
33 celebration, PGA National Park photograph tour and the aquatic complex project completion photographs.
34 IX, NEW BUSINESS
35 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher reported board renewals and vacancies.
36 X. STAFF UPDATES
37 Alternate Staff Liaison Kasher reported on the parks and recreation event updates. Discussion ensued.
