PLANT DRIVE PARK IMPROVEMENTS
BACKGROUND
In 2008 the Amanda J Buckley "Give a Child a Smile" Foundation
formed a partnership with the City of Palm Beach Gardens to
reestablish Plant Drive Park as a premier park facility. The stadium
field facility was designed and would be built in several phases. The
first phase was completed in that year. While the Palm Beach
Gardens High School was utilizing the field for various activities
including football practice it was not practical to proceed with Phase 2
improvements. We were informed late this past year that those activities
would not be required in the future. Phase 2 improvements began in December.

SUMMARY
The Amanda J. Buckley "Give a Child a Smile" Foundation has earmarked
approximately $80,000 for the completion of Phase 2 of this project. The
second phase will also include batting cages and pitchers bullpens which
are in progress and field sports turf which will occur this summer.
Combined with the estimated $125,000 on the first phase, the total
contribution will total in excess of $200,000.
The Foundation should be recognized for their efforts in providing our youth
with this fantastic facility.
