PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 8 Mayor Litt called for a moment of silence in honor of Ryan Rogers and expressed to his family 9 the love and support of the community. 10 II. ROLL CALL 11 PRESENT: Mayor Litt, Vice Mayor Reed, Councilmember Woods, Councilmember 12 Marciano, Councilmember Tinsley. 13 ABSENT: None. 14 III. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 15 None. 16 IV. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PRESENTATIONS 17 Prior to the Announcements and Presentations, Mayor Litt remarked on the press conference 18 held at 10:00 a.m. by Police Chief, Clint Shannon and thanked all involved for their dedication 19 and persistence in solving the Ryan Roger's case. 20 a. HONDA CLASSIC PRESENTATION. 21 Leisure Services Administrator, Charlotte Presensky, referenced Resolution 66, 2021 on 22 the Consent Agenda, the City's agreement with the Children's Healthcare Charity, Inc., and 23 introduced Ken Kennerly, Executive Director of The Honda Classic, and Andrew George, 24 Tournament Director, to present. The 2022 Honda Classic will be held February 21 -27, 2022 25 at PGA National Resort and Spa. 26 V. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC 27 Paul Lakind, 119 Sunesta Cove Drive, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. 28 VI. CITY MANAGER REPORT 29 City Manager, Ron Ferris announced the 37th annual Holiday Bazaar will be held at Burns 30 Road Community Center on Friday, December 3 from 11:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m and on Saturday, 31 December 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will feature gift items from over 85 vendors. The 32 annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will occur on December 3 at 6:00 p.m. at Burns Road 33 Community Center. The second Films on the Field event will be on Saturday, December 11 at 34 7:00 p.m. at Gardens Park Miracle League turf field. The movie, Elf, will be shown and is being 35 sponsored by Ballenlsles Charities Foundation and Frenchman's Creek Charities Foundation. 36 Stories in the Park will be held at the PGA National Park playground on December 18 at 10:00 37 a.m. The Community Concert series will feature The Motowners: The Ultimate Motown 38 Tribute Band on December 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Veterans Plaza Amphitheater and is sponsored 39 by Frenchman's Creek Charities Foundation. The "Little Mo" International Youth Tennis 40 Tournament will be held at the Tennis & Pickleball Center from December 3 -8 and Jamie's 41 Tennis Angels will be on December 18 at 1:00 p.m. All events are free and family-oriented 42 activities. 43 VII. ITEMS FOR COUNCIL ACTION/DISCUSSION AND ITEMS OF INTEREST: 21 Mayor Litt wished Director of Planning & Zoning, Natalie Crowley a happy birthday and 22 congratulated Councilmember Woods and Councilmember Tinsley on their reappointments 23 to City Council. 24 a. COUNCIL REPRESENTATION AT THE MARINE INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION OF PALM 25 BEACH COUNTY HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE. 26 Mayor Litt and Vice Mayor Reed are out of town and unable to attend the event. Discussion 27 ensued. Councilmember Tinsley will represent the City and serve as a judge at the Marine 28 Industries Association of Palm Beach County Holiday Boat Parade. 29 Councilmember Woods discussed his position on the way plan modifications were made 30 following the last Council meeting on November 4, 2021, regarding the combined presentation 31 of Ordinance 13 , 2021, Ordinance 14, 2021 with companion items, Resolution 60, 2021 and 32 Resolution 61, 2021. He would like to see changes made with open conversation on the Council 33 dais. Discussion ensued. 34 Councilmember Tinsley noted the proposed Florida redistricting maps for the Florida Senate 35 and Florida House of Representatives appear to have divided the City between two 36 representatives . She suggested the Council discuss that possibility, as it may be preferable to 3 7 request the City have representation in one district. 38 City Manager, Ron Ferris said he would look into the proposed redistricting. 39 XI. CITY ATTORNEY REPORT 40 None. 41 City Attorney, R.
