PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 9 II. ROLL CALL 10 Palm Beach Gardens: Mayor David Levy, Vice Mayor Bert Premuroso, Council Member 11 Joseph Russo, Council Member Eric Jablin, Council Member Jody Barnett 12 Also Present: City Manager Ron Ferris, Police Chief Stephen Stepp, Communication Manager 13 Judy Brandt 14 Town of Jupiter: Mayor Karen Golonka, Vice Mayor Wendy Harrison, Councilor Bob 15 Friedman, Councilor Jim Kuretski, Councilor Todd Wodraska (arrived 6:55 p.m.) 16 Also Present: Town Manager Andy Lukasik, Police Chief Frank Kitzerow 17 Town of Juno Beach: Mayor Mort Levine, Vice Mayor Bill Greene, Vice Mayor Pro Tem. Ellen 18 Andel, Council Member Jim Lyons 19 Also Present: Town Manager Joseph Lo Bello, Police Chief Dennis Weiner 20 III. WELCOME 21 Mayor Levy, Mayor Golonka and Mayor Levine each introduced their respective Council 22 Members and staff and stated their interest in the proposed communication center. 23 IV. PRESENTATIONS 24 A. CONSOLIDATION OF DISPATCH CENTER 25 Chief Kitzerow, Chief Weiner, Chief Stepp and Communication Manaeer Brandt discussed 26 level of service, officer safety, enhanced technology, call center capacity, infrastructure, 27 hardened facility, transitional strategy, staff considerations and dispatcher training. 28 B. GOVERNANCE AND FINANCE OF CONSOLIDATED DISPATCH CENTER 29 Town Manager Lukasik discussed governance with an Interlocal Agreement and the financial 30 considerations of the consolidated dispatch center. 31 V. DISCUSSION 32 Discussion ensued among members. Further work will be done to address fair expense sharing. 33 Members will attend council meetings in the Town of Jupiter and Town of Juno Beach to present 34 the project and answer questions. A team will work on an Interlocal Agreement for respective 35 Councils to review. It was noted that the Village of Tequesta is not interested in participating at 36 this time but the Village of North Palm Beach and Town of Palm Beach Shores do have 37 representatives present.
