CALL TO ORDER 8 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 9 III. ROLL CALL 10 PRESENT: Vice Chair David Porter, Diane Cappella, Jennifer O'Brien, Meriel Bryan (1st 11 Alternate sitting for Cable Neuhaus). 12 ABSENT: Chair Cable Neuhaus, Mark Giuliani, Dianne Sacchetti, Susan Tornabene. 13 ALSO PRESENT: Resource Manager, Staff Liaison Allyson Black; Planner, Alternate Staff 14 Liaison Kathryn Wilson. 15 IV. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 16 None. 17 V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 18 Diane Cappella made a motion for approval of the February 16, 2010, March 15, 2010 and 19 March 16, 2010 minutes. 20 Meriel Bryan seconded. 21 Motion passed 4 -0. 22 VI. ITEMS BY COUNCIL LIAISON 23 Councilmember Jablin thanked the Board for their work and advised that he believes the Bus 24 Shelters and Lake Catherine projects will go forward in the future. 25 VII. ITEMS BY STAFF LIAISON 26 Staff Liaison Allyson Black stated she is now the Staff Liaison, Kate Wilson is the Alternate 27 Staff Liaison and Natalie Wone is the Interim Growth Management Administrator. The City 28 Council placed the Bus Shelter project on hold for the present time, authorized a Call to Artists 29 for the History Project and approved the 09.11.01 Memorial Plaza project. Consensus was 30 reached for the 4th Quarter meeting date of September 21, 2010. 31 VIII. OLD BUSINESS 32 Board members discussed the funding of projects from the Art in Public Places Fund. 33 Diane Cappella made a motion to advise Council that the Board is not interested in working on 34 projects that use the Art in Public Places Fund money. 35 Meriel Bryan seconded. 36 Jennifer O'Brien dissented. 37 Discussion ensued. Councilmember Jablin advised discretion in approaching Council. 38 Meriel Bryan amended the motion for the Board to ask Council for specific direction on how to 39 proceed with the Lake Catherine and Bus Shelter projects. 40 Diane Cappella seconded. 41 Motion passed 4 -0 42 Staff Liaison Black clarified that Council approved a Call to Artists for the Lake Catherine 43 History project, not a Request for Proposal (RFP). 44 IX. NEW BUSINESS 45 RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL 46 1. DOWNTOWN AT THE GARDENS — AIPP- 10 -03- 000026 47 Presented by: Kevin Berman, Owner, Downtown at the Gardens. 48 Discussion ensued.
