CALL TO ORDER 6 The regular meeting was called to order at 6:00p.m. by Chair Michael Panczak. 7 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 8 III. ROLL CALL 9 PRESENT: Chair Michael Panczak, Vice Chair Randolph Hansen, Roma Josephs, Douglas 10 Pennell, Charles Hathaway, Howard Rosenkranz, Robert Savel for Joy Hecht. 11 ABSENT: Joy Hecht. 12 ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney, R. Max Lohman; Director of Planning and Zoning, Natalie 13 Crowley. 14 IV. ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 15 None. 16 V. REPORT BY DIRECTOR OF PLANNNING AND ZONING: NATALIE 17 CROWLEY 18 Reported approvals from the January 5, 2012 City Council Meeting. 19 VI. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 20 None. 21 VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS 22 Those preparing to give testimony were sworn in. 23 1. Recommendation to City Council (Public Hearing) - QUASI - JUDICIAL HEARING 24 SPLA- 11 -09- 000027 LA Fitness Plaza Major Site Plan Amendment 25 A request by DIV Palm Beach Gardens, LLC, for approval of a site plan amendment to the 26 LA Fitness Plaza to allow the construction of a 968- square -foot car wash. The car wash will 27 be located on a 0.84 -acre parcel within the LA Fitness Plaza, which is located on the 28 southeast corner of Fairway Drive and Fairway Lane, approximately 300 feet south of PGA 29 Boulevard. 30 Chair Panczak opened the public hearing. 31 Petitioner: Dodi Glas, Gentile, Glas, Holloway, O'Mahoney 32 Staff Presentation: Senior Planner, Kathryn DeWitt 33 Public comment: None. 34 Chair Panczak closed the public hearing. 35 Howard Rosenkranz made a motion to approve SPLA- 11 -09- 000027. 36 Randolph Hansen seconded. 37 Motion passed 7 -0. 38 2. Recommendation to City Council (Public Hearing) - QUASI- JUDICIAL HEARING 39 PCDA - 11-05- 000011— Downtown at the Gardens Planned Community Development 40 (PCD) Amendment to revise the approved Master Sign Plan 41 A request by Downtown at the Gardens Associates Ltd, for approval of a Planned Community 42 Development (PCD) amendment to revise the approved master sign plan. The amendment includes 43 adding new and modifying existing directional, wayfinding, and identity signage. Downtown at the 44 Gardens is located north of Kyoto Gardens Drive, east of Alternate AIA, south of Gardens 45 Parkway, and west of the Landmark and Gardens Pointe Developments. 46 Chair Panczak opened the public hearing. OLD BUSINESS 10 Discussion of progress on the Gardens Shul and JCC Projects. 11 IX.
