CALL TO ORDER 6 Following the mandatory orientation presentation, the regular meeting was called to order at 6:25 7 p.m. by Chair Michael Panczak. 8 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 9 III. ROLL CALL 10 Members Present: 11 Chair Michael Panczak, Randolph Hansen, Roma Josephs, Douglas Pennell, Charles Hathaway, 12 Howard Rosenkranz, first alternate Robert Savel, sitting for Joy Hecht. 13 Members Absent: Joy Hecht. 14 Also Present: City Attorney, R. Max Lohman; Director of Planning and Zoning, Natalie Crowley. 15 ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS 16 None. 17 V. REPORT BY DIRECTOR OF PLANNNING AND ZONING: NATALIE 18 CROWLEY 19 None. 20 VI. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 21 None. 22 1. Public Workshop — No action will be taken on this item. 23 CPMA - 11-09- 000014 & PPUD- 11- 09- 000026: Kennedy Homes, LLC, Townhomes at Avalon, 24 request for a large scale comprehensive plan future land use map amendment, rezoning, and 25 master site plan approval for 10.425 acres located at the southwest corner of I -95 and Hood 26 Road. A request by Kennedy Homes, LLC, for a large scale comprehensive plan future land use 27 map amendment from Residential Low (RL) to Residential Medium (RM), rezoning from 28 Planned Development Area (PDA) to Residential Medium (RM) with a Planned Unit Development 29 (PUD) overlay, and master site plan approval for 10.425 acres located at the southwest corner of I- 30 95 and Hood Road to allow a 76 unit townhome development. 31 Petitioner: Don Hearing, Cotleur & Hearing. 32 Staff Presentation: None. 33 Those preparing to give testimony were sworn in. 34 2. Recommendation to City Council (Public Hearing) - QUASI - JUDICIAL HEARING 35 PUDA -11 -09- 000033 and CUMJ- 11 -09- 000021 Turtle Beach Planned Unit Development 36 (PUD) Amendment A request by 4506 PGA Blvd., LLC for approval of an amendment to the 37 Turtle Beach Planned Unit Development (PUD) to allow a 3,012 -square foot bank with two (2) 38 drive- through lanes to accommodate a new tenant, Fifth Third Bank. The Turtle Beach PUD is 39 located on the south side of PGA Boulevard approximately one -tenth mile west of North Military 40 Trail and is approximately 1.01 acres. 41 Chair Panczak opened the public hearing. 42 Petitioner: Brett Nevaril and Eric Elizondo. 43 Staff Presentation: Planner, Kathryn Wilson. 44 Public Comment: None. 45 Chair Panczak closed the public hearing. 46 Douglas Pennell made a motion to approve PUDA- 11-09-00003 3 and CUMJ- 11-09-00002 1. 47 Roma Josephs seconded. 48 Motion passed 6 -0. The site is generally located on the west side of North Military Trail, south of the Sabal Ridge community, and east of Interstate 95. Chair Panczak opened the public hearing. Petitioner: Anne Booth, Urban Design Kilday Studios. Staff Presentaion: Planner, Kathryn Wilson. Public comment: None. Chair Panczak closed the public hearing. Randolph Hansen made a motion to approve PUDA- 11-07-00003 1. Douglas Pennell seconded. Motion passed 6 -0. VIII. OLD BUSINESS None. IX. NEW BUSINESS Natalie Crowley announced Martin Schneider is no longer with the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
