MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD
November 30, 2011
A special meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 2:27P.M. at Council
Chambers, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Those persons present were:

Mark Joyce
Rick Rhodes
Approval of Additional Cost Study Request from City (Regarding Pension Proposal
to IAFF
The Trustees reviewed the additional study request that the City has asked the Plan's
Actuary to perform, which was not included in the first round of approved request that
were submitted. The Trustees' discussed the proposal and commented that they have no
problem with the additional study being performed as long as all results are shared with
all parties involved just like the previous studies.
A motion was made by Rick Rhodes to approve the additional study request on
behalf of the City to be submitted to GRS, and to also authorize the Chair to
approve any additional studies requested by either the City or the Union. The
motion was seconded by Mark Joyce and carried 3 -0.
Other Business
The Trustees briefly discussed what the impact would be if they moved their fiscal year
end from September 30 to December 31. The Trustees agreed that they would consult the
Plan's Actuary or Consultant regarding this.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 2:56PM.
