Minutes
The Art in Public Places Advisory Board met on January 25, 2007 in the Council
Chambers of the Municipal Complex, located at 10500 North Military Trail, Palm
Beach Gardens, Florida. The meeting was called to order by Theodore Thoburn, I"
Alternate at 5:39 p.m. and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
I. ROLL CALL

II.ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
A motion was made for Theodore Thoburn, I" Alternate, to act as temporary Chair
until the elections were made. Theodore Thoburn voted in as acting Chair by 7 -0.
William Leizman made a motion to nominate Lee Bickford as Chair, this was
seconded by Myra Davis and passed by a unanimous vote of 7 -0. William Leizman
made a motion to elect Linda Oliver as Vice Chair and this was seconded by Myra
Davis and passed by a unanimous vote of 7 -0.
III. UPDATE BY STAFF LIAISON
Brad Wiseman, Staff Liaison, had no update.

IV. OLD BUSINESS
Lee Bickford spoke about the art piece at Legacy Place. She is asking for the Board
to check their specifications on this. The piece does not measure up to the proposed
plans and the color scheme needs to reviewed. The Board agreed to discuss this at a
future meeting.
Brad Wiseman informed the Board that the Art Ordinance Amendment is going to
City Council at the February 1, 2007, meeting.
The benches at Legacy place have been installed and Lee Bickford will take photos
to present at the next meeting.
The deadline has passed for artist applications to Lakeside There have been issues
obtaining the grant for this and the call to artist change caused delays. The money
for this is still in the Art Impact fund. Angela Wong will discuss this further at the
next meeting.
Brad Wiseman spoke with the representative from Bascom Palmer and they do not
want to move the sculpture.
V. NEW BUSINESS
Donald Ross Village art work is being installed. The pieces have been placed around
the hotel.
V. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
