ROLL CALL: 13 Present: 14 Robert Premuroso, Chair 15 Tory Buckley, Vice Chair 16 Dr. Carolyn Chaplik 17 Philip Milton 18 Ernest Volante 19 Mary Anne Hedrick 20 Tim Frohling, I" Alternate 21 Arnie Schneider, 2nd Alternate 22 Absent: 23 Wendy Walker 24 25 Also present: Charlotte Presensky, Interim Development Director, Staff Liaison; 26 Tim Kasher, Interim Recreation Director, Alternate Staff Liaison 27 28 2. LWCF GRANT FUNDING FOR PGA NATIONAL PARK: 29 Tim Kasher, Interim Recreation Director, presented the Grant Funding plan for PGA 30 National Park. Tim Kasher spoke about the park, renovations and enhancements. The park 31 was significantly damaged by three hurricanes. The park itself will not change in land size. 32 The funding for the park comes from three sources which are impact fees, a possible Land 33 Water and Conservation Fund Grant Funding LWCF Grant ($200,000) and a possible Florida 34 Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) Grant ($400,000). The renovation 35 process timeline would be 90 days for the City review process; 60 days for the construction 36 drawing development; possible grant award by mid 2008; and the first phase of construction 37 would begin in late 2008. The application is due by June 1, 2007. 38 39 3. COMMENTS BY PUBLIC: 40 The public was given the opportunity to make comments. Residents commented on how they 41 were grateful to the City for renovating the park.
