EDUCATION ADVISORY BOARD
MAY 10, 2000
The May 10, 2000, Regular meeting of the City of Palm Beach Gardens Education
Advisory Board was called to order at 7:36 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the
Municipal Complex located at 10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens,
Florida.
The roll was called and the following members were found to be in attendance: Chair
Wayne Anderson, Anne Berg, John Gardner, Ilene Gerber, Judith Hanrahan, Nancy
Krause- Laurie, Vice Chair Leslie Millar, James Panoch, Jan Porter, Ron Sadaka, and
Charlotte Schiff. City Council Liaison Eric Jablin was also present.
Anne Berg made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 11, 2000 meeting as
submitted. Motion was seconded by Leslie Millar and carried by unanimous vote.
Guest speaker was Tom Lynch, Vice Chair, Palm Beach County School Board.
Committee Reports were made by Nancy Krause Laurie for the Public Liaison
Committee; Charlotte Schifffor the Curriculum Committee, Jim Panoch for the School
Board Forum, and Leslie Millar for the Partnership Committee. Ron Sadaka had
nothing to report for the Boundaries Committee.
SAC representatives who were present made reports of the meetings they had attended.
Old Business
Discussion was held regarding the "A +" school bonus letter and the upcoming Forum
of Legislature Candidates.
New Business
The next meeting date of June 14, 2000 was announced.
