GENERAL EMPLOYEES PENSION FUND
Meeting was called to order at 1:35 P.M. on January 13, 1997 in the City of
Palm Beach Gardens Council Chambers. In attendance were Board Members
Jack Hanson, Mark Vadas, Steve Parella; Pension member Barbara Byerly,
Attorney Scott Christiansen and Hal Chappell - Performance Monitor.
An organizational meeting was held with the following election results: Mark
Vadas was elected Chairman by a vote of 3 -0 and Jack Hanson was elected
Vice Chairman/Secretary by a vote of 3 -0. There was a discussion regarding
the 4th position as a permanent member of the Board Of Trustees and the name
of Veronica Snyder will be submitted to the City Council. The 5th position,
administrative position elected by the Board, the name of Barbara Byerly will be
submitted to the City Council. A motion was made by Steve Parella and
seconded by Jack Hanson to submit the names to City Council. Motion passed
with vote of 3 -0.
The minutes of the May 22, 1996 meeting were approved with a motion made
by Jack Hanson and seconded by Steve Parella and a vote of 3 -0.
1.) A motion was made by Jack Hanson and seconded by Steve Parella to
approve for services rendered the latest invoice from Christiansen & Dehner
in the amount of $2,205.07. Motion passed with a vote of 3 -0.
2.) A motion was made by Mark Vadas and seconded by Jack Hanson to
approve the bill from Performance Measurement Association, Inc. in the a
amount of $2,374.00. Motion passed with vote of 3 -0.
3.) A motion was made by Jack Hanson and seconded by Mark Vadas to accept
the fee invoice from Sun trust Banks of Florida in the amount of $3,239.99.
Motion passed with a 3 -0 vote.
Reports were given by the following: Philip Robert and Becky Carroll,
Attorney Scott Christiansen and Hal Chapell.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:35 P.M.
