This summer every effort possible will be made to improve relations with the YAA Executive Board or the Advisory Board feels there will have to be a change in the direction of its management. Chairman Jeff Sabin feels, from the feedback that he gets, that the programs and leagues are doing well and that the residents are pleased for the most part. Problems are surfacing with the Executive Board. YAA Vice President Glen Roesch said that confidence must be restored with the City. Susan Miller brought out the fact that the communication between the City and the directors of each league is good and problems are worked out without much difficulty. But that is not the case with the Executive Board of the PBGYAA. Repeated compliments from local schools, other municipalities and participants in the athletic programs are made about the excellent conditions of our fields and the wonderful job our parks staff is doing to maintain more than adequate fields for all leagues. Vice Mayor Lauren Furtado suggested that over the summer we put together our areas of concern and work diligently to smooth the surface putting aside personalities and feelings and do whatever is necessary to keep PBGYAA and the City cohesive. YAA Vice President Glen Roesch was asked by the board why the YAA and the City have not signed the agreement that was drawn up in January, 1996. He replied that the YAA attorney advised they should not sign the agreement. *Chairman Jeff Sabin recommended nominations for chair and co -chair be postponed until September when we have a full board since Joe Kuveikis resigned and we have no alternates. It was mentioned by Vice Mayor Lauren Furtado that council has on the agenda the need for two alternates for our board. V MEMBERS REPORTS: *John Elsner reported on the tennis courts being redressed. *Joanne Steele thinks that our Park Ordinances will be sought after by other local communities. She expressed concern regarding lack of signs restricting bikes and roller blades from certain areas. *The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M. Respectfully Submitted, Dee Schneider NOTE: *Our neat meeting will be September 10, 1996 at Burns Road Community Center at 7:30pm. Agendas will be distributed at each meeting.
