HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Council 031994APPROVAL OF MINUTES COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE �-- pumNT LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY REGULAR MEETING CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS MARCH 19, 1994 The Regular Meeting of the Local Planning Agency of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Clark at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the Municipal Complex, 10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The Deputy City Clerk called the roll and present were Mayor Clark, Vice Mayor Monroe, Councilman Russo and Councilwoman Furtado. Motion was made my Vice Mayor Monroe, seconded by Councilwoman Furtado, to approve the minutes of the July 15, 1993 meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. Kim Glas summarized the Comprehensive Land Use Amendment as land use changes for Gardens Park from Public to Recreational Open Space; Dania Drive Duplexes from commercial to residential medium, back open space of Prosperity Center designated RL category, delineating additional parkways designated 107 and removing two small parcels from the PDA overlay which did not meet the 50 —acre minimum size, minor text changes for future land development as well as intergovernmental coordination element. a T.(ICAI . PT _ANNTNC3 ArrFNCY MF.FTrNC; 51 q/94 PACrF PUBLIC HEARING Mayor Clark declared the Public Hearing open, which was duly advertised on 5/4/94 and 5/12/94, and held on the intent of a recommendation to the City Council re: Consideration of Transmittal of Amendments to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan/Map for the City of Palm Beach Gardens to Florida Department of Community Affairs for their Determination of Compliance /Consistency with Statutory Requirements re: Future Land Use Element's Development Standard Policies 1.1.5.(a).1- 1.1.1.5.2.(a); Recreation and Open Space and Capital Improvements Elements; Intergovernmental Coordination Element; and, Traffic Circulation Element. There being no comments from the public, Mayor Clark declared the Public Hearing closed. VICE MAYOR MONROF, Vice Mayor Monroe made a motion to recommend to the City Council that the City Council transmit the referenced amendments to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan/Map for the City of Palm Beach Gardens to Florida Department of Community Affairs for their Determination of Compliance /Consistency with t Statutory Requirements re: Future Land Use Element's Development Standards Policies 1.1.5.(a).1- 1.1.5.2.(a); Recreation and Open Space and Capital Improvements Elements; Intergovernmental Coordination Element; and, Traffic Circulation Element of Community Affairs. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Furtado, and carried by a vote of 4 -0. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, motion was made by Councilman Russo, seconded by Councilwoman Furtado to adjourn the meeting at 7:37 P.M.
