Employees Pension Fund Board
July 22, 1993
5:00 P.M.
Attending: July Fox (employee designee), Jerry Bergman (Council Appointee), Win Weldon
(Council Appointee, Scott Christianson (attorney), Bobbie Herakovich (City Manager)
Attorney Scott Christianson of Christianson & Dehner, P.A., suggested that a temporary chair be
nominated and that he would be happy to discuss makeup of the Board and responsibilities.
Jerry Bergman made a motion; seconded by Judy Fox, to nominate Win Weldon as temporary
chair. The motion was unanimous.
Win Weldon then turned the meeting over to Attorney Scott Christianson for his guidance.
Scott Christian explained the makeup and fiduciary responsibilities of the Board and his firm's
relationship to the Board. He explained professional services needed and their responsibilities.
The Board opened bids for actuarial services and money managers. A listing of bids received
is attached.
It was decided that the amount of information received was too cumbersome to evaluate by
individual members and that Mr. Weldon would develop an evaluation tool to use at the next
meeting.
It was decided by consensus that one copy was to be kept for the official minutes and that all
other copies be stored in Judy Fox's office at City Hall.
The next meeting date was set for July 29, 1993 at 4:30 pm in the Council Chambers.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20 pm.
