The Regular Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens. Florida,
ds caileo tc or;er by Mayor Feeney at 9:55 P.M., subseouent to a Workshop
'ideating, in the Assembly Room of the Municipal Complex, 10500 North
Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The Deputy City Clerk called the roll and present were: Mayor Feeney,
Vice Mayor Martino, Councilwoman Monroe and Councilman Kiselewski.
Counr.,lman Aldred was not present due to a previous commitment.

stated reviewed received 4/7/88 for Fire }lose
4nd Fire - Fighting Turn -Out Gear for the Fire Department and recommended
the following purchases:
10/8 Fire Equipment Company - Turn -Out Coats = $5472.00
10/8 Fire Equipment Company - Turn -Out Pants = $3600.00
Municipal Equipment Company - 41k" Fire Hose = $10500.00
Municipal Equipment Company - 1 3/4 "Fire Hose= $1740.00
10/8 Fire Equipment Company - 3" Fire Hose = $3517.50
10/8 Fire Equipment Company - 21�" Fire Hosc = $2607.00
Total: $27436.50
The City Council unanimously approved the above - mentioned purchases,
Pointing out these were budgeted items. The monies are to be taken from
Account 12- 64.20.
Vice Mayor Martino stated he took the bus tour with Commissioner Marcus
and guests, to review the bridges over the Intercoastal Waterway and
passible solutions.
Vice Mayor Martino stated he attended a meeting at the Palm Beach Gardens
Hlgh School lest night that was held by Palm Beach County, and stated
there were a lot of residents of the North County that would like to see
the Intercoastal crossings remain in the County's plan.
Vice Mayor Martino stated he also attended a meeting at the Chamber of
Corvnerce last night where they discussed Crnwth Management.
Vice Mayor Martino stated the Land Use Advisory Committee for Palm Beach
County will be meeting on April 20, 1988, to discuss the removing of Hood
Road and Frederick Small Road crossings from the County's plan, and the
County Ccmmissioners will discuss this issue on April 25, 1988. Vice
Mayor Martino felt representatives of the City of Palm Beach Gardens
should be in attendance at these meetingq to voice the City's wish to have
these crossings remain in the plan.

Councilman Kiselewski expressed his concern re: County's proposed Health
CF.I'Q ,hCt. and requested the City inform residents of the problems that
c ^.old occur from this Act and requested the City Council pass a resolution
opposing same. The City Council was in concensus with this action.
it response to Councilwoman Monroe's concern re: petition from Pier 1
Imports for a sign variance, the City Council directed the City Attorney
ano City Manager to attend the Zoning Board of Appear meeting to express
the City Council's opposition to this variance.
Councilwoman Monroe requested the City staff to revie,v resolution sent to
Palm Beach County re: Northlake Lincoln Mercury to determine :f the
deale °ship agreed to conform to the Palm Beach Gardens Sign Code, and if
their plans are in conformity.

have the traffic light that was installed at Central Boulevard and PGA
Boulevard functioning.
In response to Vice Mayor Martino, the City Manager stated the letter re:

Village of North Palm Beach, and the City should receive a response
tomorraw.

the President of the United States to pardon Lt. Col. North and Admiral
Poindexter for being true American patriots.

only, Resolution 31, 1986, approving a lease agreement for the City's
lease of a GE ?CO MH7 Communications System for Police, Fire, and General
Go'1 ?rlment.
Desolti02 31, 1988, was unanimously approved by the City Council.
Mayor Feeney declared the Public Hearing open, and there being no comments
from, the public, declared the Public Hearing closed.

City's Comprehensive Land Use Plan /Map adopted 11/21/85 by Ordinance 22,
1955, providing for Residential 9 -12 units /acre land use designation on
.71 acres fronting on the west side of North Military Trail, between L,Iac
Street and Holly Drive, immediately south of "Palm Garden Apartments ".

stating the thoughts of the City Council at a Workshop lieeting on April 7,
1988, have been incorporated into the final plans.
Mayor Feeney declared the Public Hearing open, and there being no comments
from the public, declared the Public Hearing closed.
The City Council directed the City Clerk to amend Ordinance le, 1988, by
addira a new Section 3. as follows: "Recreation and Road irpact Fees in
accordance with the requirements of the Palm Beach Gardens Code, shall be
paid to the City prior to issuance of initial building permit." The peti-
tioner agreed to this addition to Ordinance 16, 1988.
Per a unanimous vote of the City Council the Deputy City Clerk read, by
title only, on second and final reading, Ordinance 16, 1988, creation of
"Garden Trail" PUD, with land uses permitted being those as set forth in
the City's RH -Xigh Density Residential District, proposed to consist o` 8
conuominium units and be located on .71 acres fronting on the west side of
North Military Trail, between Lilac Street and Holly Drive, immediately
south of "Palm Garden Apartments"
Ordinance 16, 1988, as amended, was unanimously adopted by the City
Council.
Mayor Feeney declared the Public Hearing open, and there being no comments
from the public, declared the Public Hearing closed.
Per a unanimous vote of the City Council the Deputy City Clerk read, by
title only, on second and final reading, Ordinance 17, 1988, modifying the
"Clocktower" Professional Office PUD created 12/19/85 by Ordinance 25,
1965, providing for identification wall signage for the individual
tenants.
Ordinance 17, 1988, was unanimously adopted by the City Council.

4.513 -acre exoansion within, Section 13 -42 -42 immediately south of St.
Ignatius Loyola Catholic Cathedral on the southwest corner of Holly Drive
and North Military Trail, and stmultanec -,sly providing for "Residential

The City Council will consider adoption of Ordinance 21, 1988, at their
Regular Meeting of May 5, 1988.
