Councilman Aldred was out of town. i�121�1r1�L`istlq�l:t�ttii Mayor Feeney announced there would be a meeting of the Recreation Advisory Board on Tuesday, May 17, 1988, at 7:30 P.M.; and a meeting of the _ Laxahatchee Slough Technical Committee on Wednesday, May 18, 1988, at +?:00 P.M. in the Council Room. Mr. David Hinson, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Municinui _eayue, addressed the City Council, outlining the background of the Municipal League and certain issues. The City Council expressed their concerns with certain aspects of the Municipal League, including more coo- venient meeting times, voting procedures, and more consideration for the- AM City of Palm Beach Gardens when appointment. are made. �ii<K11112[>�1�".1�l:ai.'i:[I) �Slq���`�•7�1'�L:I-1 fii 7 Mr. Cunard ,haring ur Gua G N Architects, authorized agent for Northern Palm Beach County Water Control District, addressed the City Council re: Northern Palm 3each County Water Control District Administrative Office Building PUD, proposed to be located on 2.5 -acre Tract 4 of PGA National Commerce Park within southeast corner of the PGA National PCD. The City Council directed the City Attorney to amend Resolution 35, 1988, to include the following: That no building permit shall be issued until the City Engineer shall approve drainage plans for Bald develooment; and, that an interlocal government agreement shall be entered into by tho peti- tioner and the City whereby Petitioner shall pay ad valorem taxes each year proportionately on the building structure and lands leased by peti- ticner to private third parties. Resolution 35, 1988, will be considered for approval at the Regular Meeting following this meeting. The City Manager presented a map to the City Council showing possible future corporate limits of the City of Palm Beach Gardens. The �ir.y Manager will revise the map to reflect the suggestions of the City Council. The City Council directed the City Attorney to amend Ordinance 22, 1988, to ^crrr;t the addition of a wall sign for each twin tower for tenant iaen- t.ification of two tenants for each sign. The City Council will consider adoption of Ordinance 7.2. 1988, ,at their Regular Meeting of May 19, 1988. The City Council will consider adoption of Ordinance 23, 1988, at their Regular Meeting of May 19, 1988. Lau The City Council requested the City Attorney amend Ordinance 24, 1988, placing a moratorium on pole signs in the City of Palm Beach Gardens, by eliminating the word "ultimate" from the title and body, f i�Ivieid�l:�illeF.'Iatb'i►ii`i .�`Pi �• Mrs. Maureen Lyew Fong addressed the City Council re: (a) variance to distance requirement of 750' between alcoholic beverage vendors for "The Red Dragon" located Within the shopping center on the northwest corner of ® Keating Drive and Northlake Boulevard at 4237 Northlake Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens; and (b) to aermit as a "conditional use" in the CG -1 General Commercial District, the retail sale of beer for on -premise con- sv,r do-: at "The sled Dragon". Mrs. Fong stated more than 50% of their business would be selling food. The City Council had no objections to this petition, and will consider approval of these requests at their Regular Meeting of May 26, 1988. e Attorney Lawrence W. Smith, authorized agent for F. F. Adams. Jr., ac'--ire-sed the City Council re: creation of "Prosperity Centre" PUD on. 10.23 acres, more or less, with land uses permitted being those as set forth in the CG -1 General Commercial District of the Palm Beach Gardens Code, located, in general, south of PGA Boulevard, east of Prosperity Farris Road, proposed to consist of 197,189 sq. ft, of hotel, retail sales and office space. The City Council expressed con- cern that these revised plans did not have the opportunity to be reviewed by City staff. Mr. Jeff Blakely, Landscape Architect, reviewed landscaptnq plans, and Mr. Joe Pollock, reviewed traffic proposals. The Citj Council felt comments should be reserved until City staff has had the cppnrtu:;ty to review the revised plans, however, pointed out they would prefer to have parking spaces 10 feet in width, greater set back for the Parking garage on the north side. Vice Mayor Martino felt the height of the building was too much for the site. The Petitioner was directed to submit revises plans and to contact the City Clerk to schedule another workshop session . It .i3s the concensus of the City Council that a modification to the City's Comprehensive Land Use Plan/Map adopted 11/21/85 by 0rdindnce 22, 1985, Providing for a change in the delineation of the City's boundaries by a 2.4206 -acre expansion within Section 4, Township 42 South, Range 43 East, west of U.S, Highway One, north of PGA Boulevard, immediately south of Kathy Lane and simultaneously providing for "Commercial" land use designa- tion, could not take place until this parcel was amlexed into the City. : ® !here being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 11:20 P.M.
