was called to order by ?Mayor Feeney at 9:40 P.M. in the Assembly Room of
the Municipal Complex Building located at 10500 North Military Trail, Palm

ROLL 'ALL The City Clerk called the roll, and present were: Mayor Feeney,
Vice- :iaVor ;Martino, Councilman Aldred, Councilwoman Monroe and Councilman
Kiselewski.

The r'r.e Manager gave each Council member a copy of the proposed
Tnterlocal Agreement with Palm Beach County, resolving differences re:
annexations. The City Manager stated the County has agreed to drop the
lawsait re: Steeplechase 1 1 the City will execute this agreement.
Tne City Council requested the following amendments be made to the
Agreement:
Page 3. 4t4; line. should be "mul plied by" instead of "divided by";

problem locating the west central transfer station since they no longer

8oara meetings and the Zoning Board of Appeals meetings.

: ^ART!ND— per the recommendation of Fire Mayor Martino, the City Council unanimously n�
aooroved lighting for the remaining two bailfields and requested the City
"Tanager to check into this. The City Council stated the funds would be i
taken from the Recreation Fund.

Vice Mayor Martino stated the Fire Department will be celebrating a
25- 1 year annversary for the volunteers and requested the City Manager
d9 °.ermine the exact date. Vice Mayor Martino also requested a "thank -you"
appezr in the next newsletter, thanking the residents for donations to the
r <r: Depa tment and mention the panel truck that was purchased with those
funds.

ALDRED Councilman Aldred reported participating in a fishing tournament that was
on by the *irefignters Union.

Cite by Foundation Land Company to one of their repesentatives statir -g
that within 6 months the Gardens bowling alley signs would be removed and

than 30 days to remove these signs.
RESOLUTIONS_
RESOLUTION 56,19.813_ Per the concensus of the City Council the City Clerk read, by title only,
T Resolution 56, 1988, appointing a member and an alternate member to the
City's Merit System Board.

RESOLUTION 57,1988 Per the concensus of the City Council the City Clerk read, by title only,
Resolution 57, 1988, appointing a regular member to the City's Planning
and Zoning Commission.
Resolution 57, 1988, was unanimously approved by the City Council.
RESOLrUTION 59,1988 :attorney Richard Ellington stated the monopole will be located behind
Building 60, which is even further away from RCA Boulevard than the City
Council requested. Mayor Feeney declared the Public Hearing open, and
these being no corrsnerrts from the public, declared it closed.
Per the concensus of the City Council the City Clerk read, by title only,
Resolution 59, 1988, modification to the conditional uses in the M -1,
Rebr•rch and Light Industrial Park District, to permit, as a conditional
use, a television broadcasting studio and transmitters and towers within
102,7 acres, more or less, located, in general, between Alternate A -1 -A &
Interstate -95 and Burns Road & RCA Boulevard (site of "Northcorp ").
Resolution 59, 1988, was unanimously approved by the City Council.

Resolution 61, 1988, signage and final landscaping plans for "Admiralty
II" PUD approved 12/17/87 by Ordinance 17, 1987, as amended (intensity of
lights on the top of the hotel be dimmed in the evening and that the sign
fc, the drive -in teller facility would not be installed until such time as
that facility came on line).

Resolution 61, �9?C, was unanimously approved by the City Council.
RESOLUTION 1988 Mayor Feeney declared the Public. Hearing open. There being no comments
from the public, Mayor Feeney declared the Public Hearing closed.
Mayor Feeney announced that Resolution —, 1988, modification to the
"conditional uses" in the CG -? lGere,al Con=erc alb "oni ✓15t"ict, pro-
viding for "retail sales of automobile parts and accessories" and "repair
of m,tor vehicles" on 1.50 -acre parcel within Section 18 -42 -43 on the
northeast corner of Roan Lane and Northlake 3oulevard, was witndrawn by
the applicant.
Resolution 1988, was unanimously denied by the City Council.
ORDINANCES
ORDINANCE 34,1988 Naynr Feeney declared the Public Hearing open, which was duly advertised
813(88, and held on the intent of Ordinance 34, 1988, increasing the
annual wages of the City Council pursuant to Section 8 -2 of Article VIII:
Department Heads of the Charter of the City's Code of Ordinances. There
being no comments from the public, Mayor Feeney declared the Public
Hearing closed.
8y a unanimous vote of the City Council, the City Clerk read, by title
only, on second and final reading, Ordinance 34, 1938.
Ordinance 34, 1983, was adopted by the City Council by a vote of 4 ayes
and 1 nay, with Councilwoman Monroe casting the nay vote. Councila, ^mar
Monroe cast the nay vote stating she felt the increase should be done gra-
dually over two years.
ORDINANCE 36.1338 By a unanimous vote of the City Council the City Clerk reaa, by title
only, on first reading, Ordinance 35, 1988, "involuntary" annexation of
293.72 acres, Including 269.83 -acre unrecorded plat of "Horseshoe Acres ",

Hood Road, approximately 112 mile west of the Sunshine State Parkway
(a /k /a Florida's Turnpike), per the pe?ition of Bcnnette Shooting
Preserve, Inc.
OR The City Council will consider second reading and adoption of Ordinance

City Council until a legal opinion was received. The City Attorney stated
t;ie City Council would have to make a policy decision re: submitting this
of =m to the State Department of Corrmunity Affairs, however, he felt there
was nothing legal prohibiting Lois slbmittal. No members of the audience
a -.dr,ssed the City Council regarding their consideration of this request.
