The Regular Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,
was called to order by Mayor Feeney at 8:00 P.M. in ,h? asse°nbly Ronm at
the Municipal Complex, 10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens,
Florida; and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL The City Clerk called the roll, and present sere: Mayor Feeney,
pi�nrili�^1Tan Monroe and Councilman KiseleWSk1. Vice Mayor MartiRO and
Councilman Aldred were not present at this meeting as they were coaching
at a girl's softball tournament.

MINUTES _ The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 18, 1987, were unanimously
approved as amended.

Appearance P.oview Cap <.aittee on Tuesday, ',;y 7, 1987, at 7:30 P.r'. 4ayor
Feeney also announced the City's Administrative Offices will be closed
Friday, July 3, 1987, in observance of "Independence Day ".

Councilman Kiselewski referenced a letter received from Attorney StPVe
Wathison requesting a modification to Sub- Section C of Section 159.063
requiring a 500 foot separation distance requriement between service sta-
tions and other establishments, Councilman Kiselewski requested the City
Council review this matter at a future meeting.
Per the concurrence of the City Council the City Clerk read, by title
only, Resolution 49, 1987, gzdnting a conditional use in the CG -1 General
Commercial District ''or the sale, at retail, of packaged alcoholic bevera-
ges, including liquor, beer and wine, for off - premise consumption, at 3940
Northlake Boulevard, within "Crossroads at Northlake" shopping center,
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Per the concurrence of the City Council the City Clerk read, by title
only, Resolution 4a, 1987, granting a conditional use in the CG -1 General

Resolution 51, 1986, withfn the PGA National PCD.
Resolution 55, 1987, was unanimously adopted by the City Council.

SWEET BASIL
Mr. John S. Thornton, authorized agent for Mr. F. F. Adams, Jr., addressed
the City Council stating they were requesting a conditional use in the
CG 1 General Commercial Zoning District to permit the retail sale of beer
and wine for off - premise consumption at "Sweet Basil" located at 2480 PGA
Boulevard, Room 4, Palm Beach Gardens; as well as a variance to the
oistance requirement of 750 `t-et between alcoholic tevEraoe venders, oer-

In response to a question from Cocncilman <iselewski, Mr. Thornton stated
no alcoholic beveraues would be consumed on the premises, stating "Sweet
5aa.1" was a gourmet food gift store.
The Council will consider adoption of this conditional use and the
variance at their Regular Meeting of July 16, 1987.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at
8:33 P.M.
