SPECIAL (REORGANIZATIONAL) MEETING
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
MARCH 14, 1985
The Special (Reorganizational) Meeting of the City Council of Palm
Beach Gardens, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Mike Martino
at 8:00 P.M., in the Assembly Room at the Municipal Complex,
10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and
opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL: The roll was called by the Deputy City Clerk and present were:
Mayor Martino, Vice Mayor Monroe, Councilman Aldred, Councilman
Kiselewski, and Councilman Feeney.
City Manager John Orr and Attorney William Brant were also in
attendance.
REORGANIZATION:
APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN TO ELECT A MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR
By a unanimous vote of the Council, Mayor Martino was appointed
temporary chairman to select a Mayor and Vice Mayor of the City.
APPOINTMENT OF MAYOR OF THE CITY
Mayor Martino opened the floor to nominations for Mayor of the City.
Councilman Kiselewski nominated Vice Mayor Monroe for Mayor.
By a unanimous vote of the Council, nominations for Mayor were
closed. Vice Mayor Monroe was elected Mayor by a unanimous vote of
the Council.
APPOINTMENT OF VICE MAYOR OF THE CITY
Mayor Martino opened the floor to nominations for Vice Mayor of the
City. Councilman Aldred nominated Councilman Kiselewski for Vice Mayor.
By a unanimous vote of the Council, nominations for Mayor were closed.
Councilman Kiselewski was elected Vice Mayor unanimously by the Council.

APPOINTMENT OF TWO DEPUTY TREASURERS OF THE CITY
Mayor Martino opened the floor to nominations for two Deputy
Treasurers of the City.
By a unanimous vote of the Council, Councilman Aldred and Councilman
Feeney were appointed the two March /1985 - March /1986 Deputy Treasurers
of the City.
APPOINTMENT OF A CHAIRMAN PRO -TEM OF THE CITY IN THE ABSENCE OF BOTH
Mayor Martino opened the floor to nominations for Chairman Pro -Tem
of the City.
Councilman Aldred nominated Mayor Martino for Chairman Pro -Tem of the
City.
By a unanimous vote of the Council, nominations for Chairman Pro -Tem
were closed.
Mayor Martino was appointed the City's March /1985 - March /1986 Chairman
Pro -Tem by acclamation.
RESOLUTIONS:
RESOLUTION By the concurrence of the Council, the Deputy City Clerk read, in full,

Resolution 4, 1985, appointing Vice Mayor hbnroe the Mayor and
Councilman Kiselewski the Vice Mayor of the City.
Resolution 4, 1985 was unanimously adopted by the Council.
RESOLUTION By the concurrence of the Council, the Deputy City Clerk read, in full,
Resolution 5, 1985, appointing the Deputy Treasurers and designating
signatures for the various bank accounts of the City.
Resolution 5, 1985, was unanimously adopted by the Council, as amended,
with the names of Council members "Richard D. Aldred" and "Dick Feeney"
inserted in the blanks of Section 1, and the names of the Mayor, "Linda
Monroe ", Vice Mayor "Donald L. Kiselewski ", and Council member "Michael
Martino" inserted in the blanks of Section 2.

Section 3 was deleted from the Resolution in it's entirety.
Section 3 read as follows: "No check in excess of $25,000.00 shall be
honored by any bank where funds of the City of Palm Beach Gardens are
deposited unless accompanied by a certified copy of a Resolution of the
Council of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, authorizing said
check in said amount, which Resolution shall be certified by the Mayor
and City Clerk as having been duly passed and enacted."
ADJOURNMENT: With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.. The
City Council's Nbrkshop Meeting of this date followed, subsequent to a
five - minute recess.
