FY 1983 -84 BUDGET MEETING
August 22, 1983
TIME AND PLACE: A Budget Meeting was held on Monday, August 22, 1983
in the temporary City Council Chambers of the City Hall. The meeting
was called to order at 8 :00 P.M.
PRESENT: Councilman Michael Martino, Councilman Donald Kiselewski,
Councilwoman Linda Monroe, City Manager John Orr and Chief of Police
Edward Himmelsbach.
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET was discussed again and amended as follows:
Four additional Patrolman were added to the budget starting January, 1984.
Because of the additional personnel, several accounts had to be adjusted.
Based on economic conditions and potential impact on the
1984/85 fiscal
year budget, the City Manager felt
that the additional four
(4) people
were not justified at this time. During the discussion
the City Manager
recommended that since the four (4)
additional personnel
were added, that
we add another vehicle. However, it
was stated by the Chief
that another
vehicle was not necessary.
