PROPOSED USE HEARING
CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
August 23, 1:82
The :ederal Revenue Sharing Funds Proposed Use Hearing, as duly
advertised 8/8/82, was called to order by City Manager, John Orr,
at 7 :30 P.M., in the Assembly Room located in the City Hall Complex,
10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
In attendance representing the City were: Councilman Dick Aldred,
City Manager John Orr, and City Clerk Linda Ard.
Mr. Orr opened the meeting to anyone who had comments. Mr. Samuel
Carsillo, 10063 Dahlia Avenue, Palm Beach Gardens, spoke first. His
suggestion was to use the money toward an aerial ladder truck for the
Fire Department, putting it into escrow. The next suggestion was to use
some of the money for a City -owned library or post office.

Mr. Bill Markham, 10330 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, spoke
next. His suggestion was to out the total amount of money received in
she bank and aCCUT -late interest over the three year period allowed.
Mr. Markham also suggested that the City take the proposed $3,000 for
clay for the ballfields out of the Recreation Land /Facilities Account
and save that $3,000 for the general City.
!1r. Carsillo suggested also that maybe the money could be used for
a new van for the Fire Department.
As there were no further comments by the public or by Councilman
Aldred, 1r. Orr closed the meeting at 7:40 P.M., co be continued
Septe;nber. 16, 1982 at a Public Hearing to be held in conjunction with
:he first duly advertised Pubic Hearing on the City's 1982/83 Fiscal.
