The Council referred the plans for this sign to the Site Plan and Appear- ance ReView Committee for their recommendation, including whether or not they feel it should be a 90 o V- shaped sign oriented to Military Trail or a straight, double -faced sign located perpendicular to the artery. Tn the meantime, Mr. White will provide samples of the lettering and work with the City Hanager re: the City receiving bids /proposals for the sign. Public Works Director Leonard Devine was requested to have basketball hoops installed on the poles already located on a concrete slob /court ,t the above- referenced 2.94 -acre tract. (The State Department of Transportation proposes to acquire this tract for Interst2te -95 rights - ef_way in the not - too - distant future.) Councilman Laurie reported that at the "THF GROWTH OF THE GARDENS .SALUTES [HE BANKERS LAND COMPANY" celebration, he spoke with a heli- copter pilot who expressed a need for 4. i9e florescent balls to be located on the cables at the Palm Beach Gardens Community Hsopital's landing pad, to provide for safer landings during the hours when it is dark.
