'Me Regular 'Meetin; of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,
was called to order by Mayor Kiedis at 8:00 P.M. in the Assembly Room,
10500 North Military Trail, Palm ileach Gardens, Florida; and -'pened <; �
with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROIL CALL: The roil was called by the City Clerk and present were: Mayor Ki.edis,
Vice Mayor Martino, Councilman Aldred, Councilwoman Monroe, and `
Councilran Kiselowski. City Manager Jolm Orr and Attorney William Brant
were also in atrendance.
2IL`LU%S: The minutes of the Workshop Fleeting of October 22, 1981 were unanimously
approved by the Council, as written.
The Tinutes of the Special. Regular Meeting of October 28, 1961, were
unanimously approved by the Council, as written.

versation she had with State Senator Lewis re. a Resolution of the City

Conicilwanan 'Conroe reported that she attended a course at PBJC for
elected and appointed municipal officials; the subject was Lobbying on
Local and State Levels.
'1AY0R KIEDIS Mayor Kiedis acknowledged receipt of the November 6, 1981 conTLwication
of Perry Cable `IV, ad ✓ising of scheduled improvements to their system/
Service.
The City Manager was requested to pursue with Perry Cable TV concern
exTressed re: unnecessary digging -up of lianeowner's lawns.

will be present.

ORDLWC'ES: Mayor Kiedis declared the Public Hearing open, which was duly advertised
ORDLIIANCE 26, November 3, 1981, and held on the intent of Ordinance 26, 1981, regulating
1961— the clearing and grubbing of land in excess of one acre.
In response to Mr. Bob Yeager, the Mayor explained the land area of
one acre was chosen maa_nly because there are very few vacant parcels
of land in the City Chat are wooled and contain less area.
Mr. Robert Iruzgsfeld Chairman of the Planning &Zoning Camtissiorl and
Site flan and Appearanc- Review Committee, addressed the Council
encouraging expedience in the Council's passage of this Ordinance.

By a unaninrnis vote of the Council, the City Clerk Lead, by title only,
on secrnld and final reading, Ordinance 26, 1981, Ordinance 26, 1981
was unanimously adopted by the Casncil.

IT 1 by title only, Ordinance 29, 1981, regulating false alarms to the City's

of this rezoning request.
BOARD OF CO. 2. Board of Comity Commissioners', referencing their conram ication
MMSSM'E1tS dated May 20, 1981, soliciting requests for matching funds that
may be available for recreational improvements during the 1981/1982
Fiscal Year. As of this date, matching funds will not be available.
WPB A- rORaNEY RE: Councilman Kiselewski advised the Council he received a carbon copy of

Attorney in West Palm Beach, bringing to light a traffic situation or
Burns Road. Evidently, two telephone poles have been placed in front
of a catch basin.

tract as they wi -11 not be available for this price at a later date.
It is pcssible _o consider reducuions in some of the "soft costs"
and "hard costs by- o,,mer" (xte;ns marked with an asterisk) in order
to do this. Furthermore, we have discussed the possibility that
cellanecus items can be provided under the recreation and Land
Fund of about $100,000.00.
We look forward to getting started on the construction phase and
urce you all to finalize these decisions as soon as possible. There
a 60 day time period during which a contract must be executed.
