The Regular Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens was called to
order by Mayor Kiedis at 8:00 F.M. in the Assembly Room, 10500 North Military
Iroil, Palm Beach Gardens, lorida, and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance
to the Flao.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called by the Deputy City Clerk and present were: Mayor Kiedis
Vice Mavor Martino, Councilman Aldred, Councilwoman Monroe, and Councilman
Kiseleuski. City Manager John Orr and Attorney William Brant were also in
attendance.
MINUTES:
The minutes of the August b and August ZO, 1981 Regular Meetings were
unanimously approved as written.

Ilayor Kiedis announced the following:
A meeting of the City's Planning and Zoning Commission, Palm Beech Gardens
Fire Dept., Inc., and Recreation Advisory Board ut11 take place or, Tuesday,
September 8, 1981, at 7:3[1 P.M., and a meeting of the City's Beautification
and Fnvironmental Committee will take place on Wednesday September 9, 1381,
at 7:30 P.M.

Mr. William G. "Doc" Myrr,, State Representative, addressed the members of
the Council tringing them up--to -date on the `)ills passed /not passed by the
State LegistF]ture during thw 1981 Session which related to local governments.
REPORTS:
COUNCILMAN Councilman Kiseleuski reported on the Site Plan and Appearance Reviev
KISELEUSVI Committee meeting of September 1, 1981, at which they approved the final
plans for the Lohmann's Plaza, and these minutes will be on file in th,r
City Clerk's office.
LICE €1AYCR Vice rlayor Martino reported on the Planning and Zoning Commission's meeting
e{ Ali 25, 1981, at which `hev made the following recommendations:

to six stories, and handle everything else as a PUD rather than straig
zoning.

Louncilwoman Monroe stated that Mr. Ed Isenhour of the State Forestry Depart -

ment, will be able to meet wit' the r,emrIers of Lhe Council on Saturday, Sept.
1G. 1981, from 9Ar1 to 11X1 with regards to the tree preservation ordinance.
The members of the Council along with Mr. Isenhour, will tour different
areas of the City that would apply to the proposed ordinance.

Resolution 46, 198t, was unanimously adopted by the Council.
RESOLUTION 48,
By a unanimous vote of the Council, Elie Deputy City Clerk, read in full,

Resolution 48, 1981, reappointing Judy Hood as a member of the City's
Beautificat3an and Environmental Committee.
Re-,olutiun 48, 1981, was unanimously adopted by the Council.

Bti a unanimous vote of the Council, the Deputy City Clerk, read in full,

Resolution 49, 1981, granting T'ie Banker's Land Company permission to
establish a temporary heliport at the southwest corner of their property at
4176 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens.
Resolution 49, 1981, was unanimously adopted by the Council.
ORDINANCES:
ORDINANCE
22,
Manor Viedis declared the Public Hearing open which vas duly advertised

on Auqust 17, 1981, and held orr .hr :nf.en; of Ordinance 22, 1981, providing
for an increase in the fee structure for City occupational licenses.

There were no comments from the public regarding the proposed ordnance,
and flayor Kxedis declared the Public Hearing closed.
By a unanimous vote of the Council, the Deputy City Clerk,read in full,
Ordinance 22, 1981, with the follouing amendments incorporated:
1. The verbiage "schedule of increase and the exception provided below"
deleted after the word "following" in Section 1, second paragraph.
2. Amended "Schedule of Increase" in Section 1 to reflect a 50 "' increase
in all occupational license fees collected by the City.
Ordinance 22, 1981, was unanimously adopted by the Council.
ORDINA„CE 23, By a unanimous vote of the Council, the Deputy City Clerk, read by title
1981 only on first reading, Ordinance 23, 1981, Increasing the membership
of the City's Recreation Advisory Board from five to seven individuals.
Ordinance 23, 1981, will be considered for adoption at their Regular
Meeting of October 1, 1981.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:

A -I -A and PGA Boulevard, which will cover approximately 481 acres, and
invited the members of the Council to attend this meeting.
