SUBJECT: PUDA- 12-04-00003 6 Staff Comments — PGA Commons Parcel 2, Rocco's Tacos
The following comments are based on the Development Application submitted on April 17,
2012, and found sufficient on April 27, 2012.
Fire Department
No comments at this time.
Building & Community Services Departments
No comments at this time.
Police Department
No comments at this time.
Planning and Zoning Department
Staff is not supportive of the Applicant's request to change the color of the window frames,
door frames, and tiki torches to Rocco's "green." It is staff s position that this modification
would negatively affect the character of the project and the integrity of the PGA Boulevard
corridor. The existing color is compatible with the existing colors on site and aligns with the
overall theme and character of the project.
2. Staff is supportive of the Applicant's request to change the color of the light bulbs within the
hanging baskets to amber. The amber light provides a warm hue in the outdoor seating area
that is consistent with the atmosphere of the project and does not draw any more attention
than clear lights would, which are permitted by code.
It is staff s position that there are a sufficient number of light baskets on site. Relocation of
light baskets within the large Oak Tree may be approved provided the overall number of light
baskets approved for the site is not exceeded.

4. Additional wall signage above the outdoor bar area would negatively affect the character of
the project and the integrity of the PGA Boulevard corridor. Any additional signage would
require a waiver.

7. Please revise the Rocco's Tacos plan, Sheet A -5, to indicate the correct location of the large
Live Oak Tree.
DRAFT Conditions of Approval
None at this time.
The Applicant shall provide a written response to all comments, indicating
acknowledgement of each comment and how each comment has been addressed.
Compliance will expedite the subsequent review. It is suggested that the applicant clearly
identify all changes to the plans by either "clouding ", or highlighting, the location of all
changes to further expedite the review.
City staff reserves the right to make additional comments throughout the review process.
