CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
MARCH 15, 1979
The Reorganization Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens,
Florida, was called to order by Mayor Kiedis at 8:00 P.M. in the Assembly
Room, 10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and opened
with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL: The roll was called by the City Clerk and present were: Mayor Kiedis,
Vice Mayor Laurie, Councilman Aldred, Councilman Feeney, and Councilman
Martino. Attorney William Brant and City Manager John Orr were also in
attendance.
PRESENTATION OF SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES:
Plaques were awarded to the coaches of the first and second place teams
in the 6 - 8 year old division and to the coach of the first place team
in the 9 - 12 year old division.
Patches and trophies were awarded to the first place teams of both the
6 - 8 and 9 - 12 year old divisions.
Trophies were awarded to the second place team in the 6 - 8 year old
division.
A five- minute recess was held to congratulate the teams.
APPOINTMENT OF At his request, Mayor Kiedis was appointed by the Council as Temporary
CHAIRMAN: Chairman of the Reorganization Meeting.
APPOINTMENT OF Councilman Feeney nominated Samuel Laurie for Mayor.

The nominations were closed by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Samuel Laurie was appointed as Mayor by a unanimous vote of the Council.
APPOINTMENT OF Vice Mayor Laurie nominated John Kiedis for Vice Mayor.
Cllr:
Councilman Feeney nominated Richard Aldred for Vice Mayor.
The nominations were closed by a unanimous vote of the Council.
John Kiedis was appointed as Vice Mayor by a unanimous vote of the Council.

RESOLUTIONS: Resolution 27, 1979, appointing the Mayor and Vice Mayor, was read in full
RESOLUTION 27, by the City Clerk and unanimously adopted by the Council.
RESOLUTION 28P Resolution 28, 1979, appointing the Deputy Treasurers and Designating Srg-
T777-- natures for the various accounts of the City, was read in full by the City
Clerk and unanimously adopted by the Council.
A recess was called to congratulate the new appointees.
ADJOURNMENT: With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M..
