CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
MARCH 9, 1977
A Special Meeting of the City Council was called to order by
Mayor �4artino at 6:30 P.M. in the Assembly Room, 10500 N. Military
Trail, valm reach Gardens, Florida.
Present were: Mayor Martino, Vice Mayor Feeney, Councilman Kiedis,
Councilman Laurie and Councilman Rossow. City Manager John L.
Orr was in attendance.
The Special Meeting was called for the purpose of opening the
absentee ballots and canvassing the votes of the General and
Special Referendum Election held March 8, 1977.
The Absentee Ballots were checked on Election Day, March 8, 1977
with the County Registration Books and so marked as voting in
the General Election.
The City Clerk read the names of the absentee voters: Precinct 45 -
Edith Judge; precinct 47 - Roger A. Rose and Reginald Sherry.
The three Absentee Votes were marked on Resolution #10, 1977.
RESOLUTION #10, Resolution #10, 1977, declaring the results of the General and
1977:
Special Referendum Election held March 8, 1977 was read in full
by the City Clerk and unanimously adopted by a motion made by
Councilman Kiedis, seconded by Councilman Laurie.
Councilman Kiedis stated that Mayor rrartino had carried Group 4
by the greatest margin in the history of the City, and congratulated
him in winning the election.
Mayor Martino congratulated Councilman Kiedis in winning the election
in Group 2, and stated it was not too prevalent that a referendum

vote was passed by this majority, when you are asking to buy land
and suggesting, however infinitesimally small, that the taxes may
be raised.
ADJOURNMENT: No further business, the meeting adjourned at 6 :45 P.M.
