CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS
AUGUST 23, 1976
PURPOSE: A [vorkshop Meeting of the City Council to discuss the 1976 -77
General Fund Budget for the City of Palm Beach Gardens, was held
at 7 :45 P.M. in the office of the receptionist, 10500 N. Military
Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
ROLL CALL: Present were: vice Mayor Feeney, Councilman Laurie, Councilman
Kiedis, Councilman Rossow, City Manager John L. Orr and Steve
Henning, Recreation Supervisor,, and Herbert Pecht, Chief of Police.
DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
14 - RECREATION DEPARTMENT
ACCOUNT 14 -103 - SALARIES AND WAGES - Recommendation was approved
for the position Supervisor I.
EXHIBIT 08 - POLICE DEPARTMENT - was discussed and reviewed and the
following adjustments were made:
ACCOUNT 08 -221 - Reduced from $700.00 to $450.00
ACCOUNT 08 -228 - Reduced from $4,000 to $3,500.
ACCOUNT 08 -303 - Reduced from $62000 to $59000.
ACCOUNT 08 -305 - Reduced from $600 to $500.
ACCOUNT 08 -316 - Reduced from $2,500 to $20250.
ACCOUNT 08 -319 - Reduced from $8,000 to $7,500.
ACCOUNT 08 -502 - Reduced from $1,586 to $1,036. The Electric
Typewriter in the amount of $550.00 was deleted.
ACCOUNT 08 -503 - Reduced from $12,893.00 to $5,533.00, as follows:
Telephoto Lens reduced to $300.00, Portable Tape Recorders reduced to
$200.009 C.S. Base Station in the amount of $700.00 was deleted,
Equipment for Darkroom in the amount of $1,000.00 was deleted,

Photo Copy Machine in the amount of $1,500.00 was deleted, and
Communication Recording System in the amount of $3,500.00 was
deleted.
ACCOUNT 08 -103 - SALARIES - 3 additional Patrolmen were added for
six months.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 11:30 P.M.
