HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Council 012375 SpecialSPECIAL MEETING CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS JANUARY 23, 1975 A Special Meeting of the City Council of Palm Beach Gardens was called to order by Mayor Martino at 8 :00 P.M. in the Assembly Room, 10500 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. MOLL CALL: Roll was called by the City Clerk and present were: Mayor Martino, Councilman Wiley, Councilman Kiedis and Council —n Feeney. Vice Mayor DeLonga was absent due to a business commitment but attended the latter part of the Workshop Meeting. Attorney Brent was present. PURPOSE: Mayor Martino stated the purpose of the Special Meeting was for the consideration of awarding the bids for 4 Police Cars to expedite the delivery date of same. A discussion was held on the low trade -in amount that was allowed for the 3 used cars to be traded, and the Council agreed to place an article in the next newsletter informing the residents of the City the 3 cars were available for purchase, by a sealed bid method. AWARDING OF A motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried to accept the BIDS FOR 4 POLICE CARS: recommendation of the City Manager to award the bid for 4 new Chevrolet Nova Police Cars to Roger Dean Chevrolet, West Palm Beach, Florida for the low bid amount of $ 17,343.48; and up until the time to accept the cars, the City Manager will pursue the selling of the 3 used cars, by a sealed bid method, for the minimum bid trade in value of $650.00 each for 2 1974 Plymouths and $350.00 fo: 1 1972 Dodge. Funds for the purchase of the 4 new cars to be taken from the Federal Revenue Sharing Account. i Special Meeting, January 23, 1975 ADJOURNMENT: No furthest business, the meeting adjourned at 8 :25 P.M.
