CITY OF PALM BEACH GARDENS

A Special Meeting of the City Council was called to order by
Mayor Kiedis at 8 :35 P.M. in the Ass,hly Room, 10500 N. Military
Trail, Palm Beach Gardens for the purpose of conducting a
Reorganization Meeting.
ROLL CALL: All members of the Council and Attorney Baldwin were present.
OATH OF OFFICE: The Oath of Office was administered by the City Clerk to Dick
Feeney, newly elected Councilmana, and congratulations were
extended by the City Council.
RBORGANIZATION Councilman Wiley nominated Mayor Kiedis as temporary c??- ;r!!An of

the Special Meeting. Mayor Kiedis declined the nomination.
Mayor Kiedis nominated Councilman Martino as temporary chairman,
seconded by Councilman DeLonga and unanimously carried.
APPOINTMENT OF Mayor Kiedis nominated Councilman Martino for Mayor, seconded by
MAYOR
Councilman DeLonga. Councilman Martino was unanimously appointed
as Mayor.
APPOINTMENT OF Councilman Wiley nominated Councilman DeLonga as Vice Mayor,
VICE MAYOR:
seconded by Mayor Kiedis. Councilman DeLonga was unanimously
appointed as Vice-Mayor.
Councilman Martino expressed appreciation for being appointed
Mayor and stated if he could do the job as well as his
predecessors, he would consider himself as doing a successful job
for the City. He listed his proposed accomplishments for the
coming year as: a Landscape Ordinance, an Appearance Ordinance,

pursue land purchase for recreation, activities for senior
citizens and sidewalks.
APPOINTMENT OF Councilman Wiley made a notion to insert in the text of Resolution
DEPUTY TREASURER:
#79 1974 the names Councilman Feeney and Councilman Wiley in
Section 1 and in Section 2 insert the names Mayor Martino, Vice-
Mayor DeLonga and Councilman Kiedis. The motion was seconded by
Councilman DeLouga and unanimously adopted.
RESOLUTION #69 Resolution #6, 1974 appointing the Mayor and Vice Mayor and
inserting the names of Michael Martino as Mayor and James C.
DeLonga as Vice Mayor was read in full by the City Clerk and
unanimously adopted by the Council.
RESOLUTION #71 Resolution #7, 1974 appointing the Deputy Treasurer and

designating signatures for the various accounts of the City,
inserting the names Councilman Feeney and Councilman Wiley in
Section 1 and Mayor Martino, Vice Mayor DeLonga and Councilman
Kiedis in Section 2 was read by the City Clerk in full and
unanimously adopted by the Council.
COUNCILMAN Councilman Feeney publicly thanked Mr. Dunbar for the fine

campaign khat he had conducted and for a fine job serving as a
member of the City Council. He also thanked the voters who placed
their trust in him and stated he hoped to earn and enjoy the
trust of those voters who did not vote for him.
ADJOURNMENT. No further business, the Special Meeting adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
